There were no reports that he was reinjured. He was playing and dunking the ball. I don't think it's about him not being healthy. He surely never tweeted anything about being hurt but rather how anxious he was to play. He thought he was coming to the Knicks earlier. It's just a guess based on everything I've read and what I think Phil is thinking about protecting the kid.yup
Like I said dude was playing and there were ZERO medical reports saying he was unable to play. So an educated guess is valid.
Well, it looks like Calderon might miss some games due to that calf injury, so I guess we'll see if your read of the tea leaves is correct.
Forums are created on other peoples guesses, hunch, I think so's, etc.....99% of all discussions in here have been on individual perspectives. Unless somebody in here is Wroten's personal medical doctor, trainer or a knick staff memeber, nobody knows anything. Thats why forums are created. Gives us fans a place to talk about our hopes and feelings. This is the only place where we can take on anybody's title and play GM for a day.....
I think (key word is think) Wroten can play.....But we all learned from other dynamic players that had a difficult time with the triangle. Plus it gives Wroten more time to heal.....And it increases his value, just on potential alone, for future trade options. Also, we still need to see what Grant has to offer, so you don't want to take minutes away from him. See if our current guards are worth bringing back or trading.
This whole franchise is a joke. It's really a waste of time trying to figure anything out at this point. I don't think Phil knows what he's doing or where he's going. But the good thing is he's still buying low.....not trading draft picks......and trying to have some form of a stable system (even if we disagree with the triangle).....This franchise needs some form of stability. Continuing to change coaches, players, picks, GM's......Looks like we are getting worst and not better. All we can do is hope Wroten is the next savior. Maybe he'll see 30 pages about him and turn into a superstar. Mostlikely, he's just another over hyped role player.
But just like the dude who always strikes out with girls.....His standards gets lower and lower. Knick fans needs to up their standards. Stop looking at every girl like she's a star! We fall in love with anybody walking on two legs.

Ya know I don't think Phil is totally lost in what he wants to do, but rather he has to adjust to the changing circumstances. Perhaps he went into the season with a couple of HOPES for what could happen and then once you see it played out THEN you can adjust your plan. So what did he learn.
Well Melo, RoLo and KP were solid players for much of the year and RoLo and KP should continue to improve as they grow and develop their skills.
They got a better idea of what DWILL can do. Even tho he's been up and down, you get the idea that there's much more he can give if they can play uptempo a higher % of the time, but at what price.
Gallo is what he is. For where we got him there's no problem with him being a role player.
Jerian is actually showing that he has been improving his jumper of late. That's a very good sign for the future. Jerian is showing signs that he's improving. Just look at his shooting improve each month.

Yeah cuz games in October are exactly the same as games in Feb and Mar. JESUS man, teams don't even have their defense locked in or intel on rookie players that early in the season. Your point is lame.ah ... now I get it. I did not take into account a number of other variables.
I see it a different way......I think early in the season, Grant was playing on instincts. As he started to learn the triangle, he was over thinking.....Then his minutes were dropping and he started losing confidence. I know this because I was in his brain the entire time. But if I remember right, he was running more pick and rolls with Dwill in that second unit. And I wanted him and KP to run those same plays, and let Dwill start next to Melo. But as he tried to change his game, and adapt to Fisher's inconsistent minutes, his play fell off. Combined with teams backing off of him and giving him the outside jumper......It was a perfect storm!

So what did he learn.Well Melo, RoLo and KP were solid players for much of the year and RoLo and KP should continue to improve as they grow and develop their skills.

Dude you focused on his 3 games in October and then blamed Phil for screwing him up. It was a mixture of different factors that caused Jerian to slow down, lose confidence and overthink things. We know the kid can run PnR. They needed more from him and he's slowing learning how to play more than just PnR. It's only going to make him a BETTER all around player and not worse.

Wroten has a tiny guarantee for next season, and only if he is invited to training camp.

LOW RISK! HIGH REWARD! If this kid comes in healthy and can catch on he could be a nice cheap addition. The writer got his age wrong saying he's 24 when he's still 22 and his birthday is April 13th. Sasha is on the roster and starting! Wroten has to be much better than Sasha IMO.

you do realize that wroten is a PNR (turnover prone)point guard who cant shoot....so this makes him PERFECT for the triangle. therefore, im not expecting much. but i do believe the kid is talented so im a fan of the move

When I read negative posts it's as if guys have never seen the Knicks offense! We also run PnR, Drag Screens etc. He's good pushing the ball and getting early offense. He's good coming off dribble handoffs like we run. He's good slashing to the rim. The system will help him with turnovers since most of the time he'll only have to work the 2 man game in the Pinch Post side of the floor.
They're not going to have him playing like Steve Kerr in this offense. He's going to play more like Shved did. That is pushing the ball and staying on the move attacking the basket. Things he's great at doing already. Sure he has to learn the offense and improve his jumper n FT shooting but he does have talent to work with.
P.S. I'm not calling you negative just in case you think I'm talking about you.

It really makes me wonder about what Phil thinks of Frazier. It could be his build that bothers him. Frazier is a pretty light guy. Only 180 lbs and not a strong defender. The Kid is very good offensive player to be sure. Just not sure he fits what Phil is looking for.
