how sad that we are two years in to this is the question / poll (which is sadly a valid question).
The answer is obvious.

One has the ability to actually improve the roster, pull strings to get into the draft, and really recruit free agents, where as the other is just a "brand name" so called superstar.
I'm just looking forward to hopefully some competitive play off hockey with the Rangers and Islanders, and then baseball

I think I would like to trade Melo just so we could be free from the drama that he- whether intentional or not- generates.
The hard reality is we're realistically 3-5 years out from being a competitive team, and that is depending on a lot of things going our way.

Yea me too. I think an amicable divorce from Melo would be great for everyone, team and fans included. No pressure to compete in Melo's "prime". The Knicks would finally be able to do a true rebuild around KP and put together pieces around him that make sense, not just 1 or 2 year placeholders that have no future on the team.
didnt i ask this same question a month ago?
