The wins and losses are what determine things like that. This is just talent. BTW, Rambis isn't a bad coach for the team's offense. It's his overall recognition of stuff and lack of proven track record. He's a good lead assistant, was Phil's main assistant a few years and stepped in for him when Phil wasn't able to coach.
The W-L says Rambis is poor. He had to turn the season around which he didn't. Tonight is about Porzingis playing like an all-star, and what we hope he can become on a consistent basis in a few years. The fact is, the offense has always needed good shot makers. Tonight guys are making their good looks. When you start doing that, the passing, the shot making, it becomes infectious. It all starts with guys being able to make good looks the offense gives you. Which we haven't been doing.

This is a glimpse of our future. KP playing like a star on a consistent basis. Phil needs to go out and get some guards that can make shots, particularly 3 point shots.
Yup, Our guys are cutting more and that is leading to better shots
Love when the young Knicks run! (Grant, D Will, Gallo)
I smell rambis getting a new contract tonight.
great win fellas!

There have been moving the ball well for a while. They don't always cut well. That's the key difference tonight. The ball isn't sticking tonight. However that starts with making shots. When you run your offense, get good looks and guys clank, clank, clank, the guys start to think, pause, stop moving the ball. Melo starts hogging a bit. KP tries to go 1 on 1 too much. It's a different mental approach. When your good looks in the offense can be made, team starts to get more and more confident in running the sets. They know it's working.
Why KP's development is the biggest part of this. If he can give the team 20-22 points a night at a good shooting percentage, it will change how teams defend the Knicks. It will also relieve Melo of many doubles. And Phil must take notice of the 3 point shot, how important it is to sign a guard that can hit 3-4 three pointers a game for you.
Lead cut to 16. Rambis timeout. Time to put all the starters back in at the 8 minute mark. SMH.

The Knicks are a different team when KP hits his shots. KP and Melo hitting shots on the same night hasn't happened for awhile. Grant, Sasha, and Jose all have been effective. DWill and Rolo playing well as well.

I guess you're trying your best to jinx them. A long way to go especially against a team that can hit the 3 ball like crazy.

why did melo take so long to pass to jose???????????????????????????
This is exactly why I don't want Rambis back. Even in a good game, he'll sit a red hot Porzingis. You can't sit out a player who is playing as well as he has, for 8+ minutes of game time. Kills his rhythm. Could have something to do with the back to back.
smell a collapse, melo's is holing the fckng ball, had calderon open for 12 seconds, and he waited for the d to figure it out
Porzingis should have been in 3 minutes ago.
