This is more of the player we expected before he lost his confidence and playing on instincts.
Grant with the slick cross over, weak finger roll, yet sweet tip off the miss at the buzzer.

It also shows how the offense changes if we have a guard that can get to the basket. We ran the pick and roll a few times with Grant up top. Grants just got to wake up. He's the key for us to succeed in the future. He must earn it
Thanks for all of the updates. I cant watch the game so being able to read this isawesome.
Grant is out for Galloway right now.

Thanks from me too. Your analysis has been nice to read.
Keep in mind the Brooklyn nets suck... Grant has been left open untouched all night. Larkin and Sloan are guarding him. There's no resistance in the paint

Grant came back in with 2 minutes left. Nothing going on.... as I type games over
Overall nice to see Grant bounce back from that horrible game the other night. Brooklyn sucks.
I'll do this again for the next game if I can
Grant has had a real good game. 14 points, 4 assists, 1 block in 28 minutes. Stepped in and looked comfortable as a starter. Much different than a few months ago when he looked very awkward with the starters. Both he and D-Will, and Porzingis are closing the season out strong.

Just wanna keep seeing growth. When he's more aggressive and attacking coming around screens he's a different player. With all the big bodies we have he should feast on screens.
Grant really needs his own thread outside of the gamethread?!? lol Is he Wroten or something?

Yeah I think he does. Dude is important for our club. He's worth attention.
Besides is fun. We can over analyze and break his game down. Hard to imagine anyone going to a knicks message board to actually talk basketball huh?

This team was hoping for more from Jerian even as a rookie. His development is huge for this team. He is after all a 1st rd pick. For rebuilding teams to be successful they have to hit on enough of their picks to form a core. Jerian does have talent but he's got to learn how to use it to impact games.
When he plays aggressively he shows the talent he has but not when he gives up his dribble to early or hesitates out there. IMO Grant has to attack on dribble hand offs and screens.

Also he has to stop falling to the ground untouched when driving to the rim. He did that a few times the last game

THE LAST GAME??? he's been doing that the entire season. Part of it is because the paint is always crowed because we don't spread the fall enough, the other part is his vision, lack of strength, and trying to hard
Soon we'll have the "ChuckBuck Melo Non appreciation thread" if he so cares to type his running comment.

Facial expressions and body language comments as well.

My theory is that he is hesitating because he is thinking too much in the triangle. He's much more comfortable as a P&R, drive to the rim type player.
