How do you know that? It's actually an important part of the offense to have the guards attack off Drag Screens and Dribble Handoffs. I can't imagine they told him not to push the ball or attack the rim.
I don't know anything. I am assuming that they intentionally were not calling many/enough pNr's for him.
It's not about calling for the PnR or Drag Screen from the bench. It's up to the guards to make that happen. The same stuff is available nearly every time down. That's what the Pinch Post 2 man game is all about!
