The NBA has come a long way, that Kevin johnson screen was as vicious as i ever seen in any era.
Then I watch Alonzo and Rodman get way to physical up and down the court only to receive techs, today they would have not only been ejected, they would have been suspended for 5 games easy. Also watch phil jackson, and watch jordan, phil doesn't say a peep to rodam, it's jordan who kept the players in check, just like Kobe did.
That's also what made phil so successful, having that type of leadership, especially coming from the best player on the planet.
I started seeing Melo taking on that leadership role a little this season. I think it so important to have veterans that are passionate about winning, and leaving it out on the floor, thats why we are 0-10 this season and 5-28 last season without melo
I think we have some talented, high character guys that go about their business respectfully, but are not passionate about winning, their not hungry, they seem like they are trying to find themselves.
The game has change dramatically in the last 10 yrs that our style of play, and the players we have to play that style, just doesn't exist and is not conducive to the player or league.
The knicks win when they shoot the 3 ball very well and they score over a 100 points. Back in the jordan era, they won holding teams to 85 points or lower, playing prison ball.

Amazing how much professional basketball has changed. I miss that era of basketball....so many great players. Kevin Johnson was one of my favorite PG at that time...That Suns team was stacked. Further proves how great that Bulls team was.
