Or just bring me someone with cobol experience.I would be fine with Thibs but let's be honest he's not the only coach you can win with. I know it's tough for some to take but Phil has his own method for how he wants the team run. One thing most seem not to have paid attention to is that Phil wants to be in synch with the Coach, which means he sees himself being here for a while! Otherwise why would he care about his relationship with the coach?
Seems to me that Phil loves doing this. The media keeps writing crap about him being unhappy and wanting to leave but the moves he keeps making show that he's fully into this and is sticking around.

Just for fun, your post inspired me to search for COBOL jobs on MONSTER
to see if anyone actually does that any more.
And found . . . that someone is actually looking for a part-time/retired COBOL
programmer in Philly.
So what the heck . . . I sent them my resume.
I will hold you personally responsible for that (!)
Changes are coming and Jackson clearly wants them. Number one thing NY needs are some better basketball players.

phil wants to prove the triangle works (without the super super super duper superstars) and he can't do that if thibs (or alike) comes here and does it their way with their (current) system.
Triangle proof (of concept success) trumps everything else.
lets hire a cobol guy cause phil knows cobol. If the new guy knows how to use junit then how does phil deal with that? Phil don't know what the hell junit is? Gonna teach phil how to use git? Phil still puts his files in boxes.

If you were fair and balanced in regards which posters you police than it would be easier to stomach. You would never call out a flag waver for one of these types of egregious acts now would you? Just sayin ...

Going to be hard to get 3 legit guards with no draft picks
If Toronto was pleading with anybody to take him then there's no way in hellz that anyone (even James Dolan) would offer up a 1st round pick for him so that's obviously not true.

I got other, more up-to-date skills . . . but did 20 years of COBOL.
I'm not crazy to go back to work . . . but if it were part-time or
work-from-home . . . I could find a way to spend the extra money.

How long was the whole thing cause that clip was only 16:40??
CrushAlot wrote:matt wrote:phil is losing it.. He just can't get past trying to prove that the triangle works without kobe/jordan/Shaq.
I think he is frustrated with the press and their coverage. He referenced it quite a bit in his conference.
He's right though when he says that the New York media makes it harder on us to get free agents especially when we don't have a good amount of money to spend.
nyknickzingis wrote:The most glaring and important thing that Phil said that stood out was a non-commitment to the roster. Number one thing NY needs are some better basketball players.
The part that stood out to me was him saying that players have told their agents that they want to play with KP and it now has my mind wondering how big or little of name players these guys are.

And just exactly how is that you would know what any team is offering for any player since that's not something that gets leaked??
