How does ATL elevate? I suppose it might take time. Can they attract players? Of course they can. Its a decent city and they have the money.
Everything the Spurs have is the result of David Robinson, Sean Elliot and Duncan. The most important thing the Spurs did was tank it the year Duncan came out. once the franchise player is in place its cake walk. Atlanta doesn't have that Duncan type player and those you get through the draft and you get those type of players drafting in the twenties.

Yeah, I agree. And San Antonio got "lucky" with Duncan, too. Unforeseen injuries to Sean Elliot and David Robinson the same year. They didn't plan it in advance, they just reacted to their circumstances and course corrected.

They aren't winning any championship anytime soon. No superstar no championship for you. I know the Knicks fans want to be just like the Hawks. Good luck with that. Good enough to make the playoffs but nothing to show for it.
for now, being like the hawks would be a good start.
It would be a great start only if KP is a star. If he isn't then the Knicks just got caught in no mans land. Talent level will have peaked out. Hawks are peaked out.
why are they peaked? They can't make any moves?
and btw, bazemore has absolutely sucked for them. Teague also seems to really gone backwards as well as korver who is just too old.
The Hawks have been like this for a long time. It's not a FA destination it doesn't draw high profile FAs. They have taken themselves out of draft lottery it would have to be a miracle to get that impact player to get them over the top. You can tell there are certain team that aren't going to get it done. Teams like Clipper,Hawks Grizzlies they got nothing to get them over the top.
lots and lots of luck to get over the top. They had a much better chance last year.
What your suggesting is that even as a playoff team, they are in NBA purgatory ... this is exactly why philly did what they did. You need to hit on 2 top 15 players to have a chance. You need many many opportunities to land those guys.
Philly was winning a little over 30 games in consecutive seasons when they went with the plan of continious resetting. The Hawks had a 22 game improvement last year and won 60 games. The Hawks are close. They also are run by the guy that built the team. I don't see them throwing in the towel to have a win total in the teens for the next ten years in hopes that they get the right pick. Free agent stars don't go there but maybe they can overpay for a guy or get involved in a trade that improves their roster.
Biyombo really stepping up for the Raptors.
Lowry fouls out on an offensive foul.
dwayne casey has to be worst than woody with his iso end game play calls

Haven't you heard? Coaching doesn't matter unless you have a great coach. Nixluva has a chart.
thank heaven we won't make the derozen mistake.
cory joseph would have been nice instead of AA
winslow is gonna be a nice player especially on defense.

A lot of regrets watching the raps. Biyombo looked great tonight.
Lillard and Wade have such tremendous heart. Would love to see the Blazers hold on for a win.

Lillard takes too many bad shots. He has shooters around him that he doesn't need to take those bad shots.

at that 35 footer, a bad shot goes swish
what a horrible call on bogut / offensive foul.
Plumlee has really turned into a playmaker. I hope Kristaps can learn how to become a play maker out of the high screen when teams double the ball handler. It turns the possession into a 4-3 situations and having bigs that can make the right decisions is big. It is what helps make Draymond such a dynamic player
lillard with a bad shot and curry needs to score that to be a GOAT
No way I could watch this game normally. Have to get up at 5:30. Off tomorrow. Are you guys west coast or just super passionate?
