Resigning Thomas and dwill if opt outIf Phil can accomplish those four moves we will be contending next year for the chip.
How many years have Knicks fans been saying that we need to stop throwing all our money and giving bad contracts out to every player that's any kind of name in the NBA and build this team the right way?? We finally get a GM/president in here that has went the way of the rebuild and doing it knowing they're gonna hear all the BS from the fans and media for a couple/few years until we have a good young team and the fans and media are shytting all over Phil for it. In two years from now there's a really good chance that we have a team that will be a playoff team and hopefully more for multiple years. I know the waiting sux and going through these last couple of years sux to but i really believe Phil has this team on the right track and if we can be patient for two more years or even just be patient through next year cause there's a chance that in the 2017 off season we could be getting that final piece we'll need and be ready to compete in the 2017/18 season.
Patience people patience. We're not as far away as a lot of people seem to think we are.
If planned out right the Knicks could throw money at a FA(Derozan or Conley) and still have cap flexibility next yr. Not that these things will happen but its not the same situation as the past.
Either way your taking a risk. If you do nothing you have more cap space but will be harder to attract FAs to a perennial loser. Trying to grab something this yr to show FAs improvement and team on the rise is just as necessary.
Safe route to go would be a stop gap G/F and buy a 2nd rder for another G/F.
The biggest difference from last year to this year Phil gets to sell the next greatest player in kp.
Look kp Is going to DOMINATE this league in a few years . Now that hat we have kp we are going to win a few chips cause once this kid becomes a man he is going to destroy the NBA . You have a kid who is a curry in a 7'3 body and blocks shots like deke, his Duncan bank is deadly too. When Phil talks to free agents phil should definitely bring up 3 things we have melo. Kp is going to be the next greatest and will be contending for chips for a long time, don't forget about becoming a Ny legend and forming one of the greatest 3 headed monsters in the media capital of the world..
Thank god for Phil a and KP it's about dam time

True what I was saying by being thankful, Phil is the first since Ewing era to have a real chip in kp I think players are going to want to play with kp . It really shouldn't be hard to attract top free agents with kp on board
Luke supposedly told Phil that he's not interested in the Knicks job per Asshola.

I don't think it's fair to say KP was a no brainer! Yeah now it's clear but on draft night there were questions unanswered. There were many who wanted Winslow or Mudiay, so don't say it was a no brainer. That pick took guts as well as great scouting. He made the right choice rather than the SAFE choice. I give Phil lots of credit for that.

EXACTLY!!! I'm not the only one who remembers what the feeling was back then. Jerian did look like he would have the stronger rookie season early on. KP really put in work and it was amazing how quickly he adjusted and started hitting the boards and defending the rim at an high level. Then it really hit home how right Phil was to make that pick. Thank goodness he listened to Gaines!

summer league is a guard's league and a wannabe/neverbeen league. it was clear from the workout videos that kp was certainly not nothing when 7'3" and those skills, and yet he NEVER saw the ball during summer league. however, stuffing okafor's shyt down his overrated throat with regularity was a prelude. all that can be said is that kp far exceeded expectations and grant fell short of expectations. you have demonstrated that you're not very good at assessing a player's value. try to be a bit less presumptuous and smug, and a bit more humble and you might learn something.

I give Phil lots of credit for that.
summer league is a guard's league and a wannabe/neverbeen league. it was clear from the workout videos that kp was certainly not nothing when 7'3" and those skills, and yet he NEVER saw the ball during summer league. however, stuffing okafor's shyt down his overrated throat with regularity was a prelude. all that can be said is that kp far exceeded expectations and grant fell short of expectations. you have demonstrated that you're not very good at assessing a player's value. try to be a bit less presumptuous and smug, and a bit more humble and you might learn something.
1st of all FUCK YOU! I've evaluated players accurately and I have proof of that on this forum. I have no idea what you're talking about with KP! We all saw KP's raw talent but if you're gonna try to say you expected him to play as well as he did this year after watching Summer League your full of SHIT💩 We saw the talent and potential but not to be this good, this soon.
Don't tell me how to respond to a guy that attacks me personally. I'm not gonna sit back and take crap from him. My points about picking KP are my opinion based on very real views expressed at the time. The proof is all over the place. KAT was a no Brainer!!! There were some questions about KP.
i wasn't responding to you.

Way out of line and flat our wrong, stick to talking about Knicks; this other stuff is not appreciated and way off.
