Knicks · Some dude called Felton is in the playoffs (page 2)

Even then he was gassed after the first 2 1/2 months
All that said he's still better than Calderon. Felton was slightly less of a turnstile defensively. At least with guys his size. He really struggled against the speedier PGs though.
Calderon is just horrible. He would look slightly less horrible if Fisher stayed and they continued to run some pick n roll.
So it remains to be seen if Phil will come to the realization that we need a Jordan/Kobe type guard to win with the triangle or he hires a a coach that is more flexible and coaches to his personnel. Of course we don't have a lottery pick So Phil will be going into year 3 of 5 and still experimenting with a shitty roster.
Wake me up when the Knicks sort things out
Hopefully, the NTC might still be there too...

Stop already with the Melo madness! He's a failure as a Knick, stop mentioning the NTC, we all know Phil/Dolan phucked up in giving it to him.

everybody we sign to a max contract has been a disappointment all the way back to EWING, then Houston, the Dice, then Steph, then Amare, now Melo.
It's going to be like that forever chuck, they will always be a overpaid player (in some ppls opinion) no matter the case, and the pill becomes even harder to swallow when you have that type of player, and he doesn't have the roster around him to make the team successful.
If okc doesn't make it to the finals (which the probably won't) does that make WB and KD, over paid?

Conversely every team and coach certain players have is never good enough for them to win anything.
Anyway, Felton's play that day has shades of the old Felton. If only the brotha could lay off the chicken biscuits

LOL how many triple doubles does Melo have this season? 30 out of 30 teams would love to have a Russell Westbrook on their team.

Westbrook is a great player no doubt. He also leads the league in Usage Rate (Melo is tied for 16th). Note that Melo came close to triple doubles 3 or 4 times this year in games that I watched. In those games he was pulled in the 4th Quarter as the Knicks had a large lead and he fell either 1-2 Assists or Rebounds short. Most here would certainly prefer Westbrook over Melo but that is not the point. You have such blind vitriol towards Melo that you leave yourself open to questioning. You can call Melo a failure all you want, but without serviceable players a the 1 & 2, the team is doomed to mediocrity at best. It's a team sport where multiple top players on the same roster are necessary to compete at a high level - some just keep forgetting that.

Buck would be calling for a Westbrook trade if he was a OKC fan. Think he forgets Westbrook has yet to win a chip and has had guys he probably has not heard off around him.. Kevin Durant and James Harden. Yet he expexts Melo to win with vets Min guys. Lmao

And that should be the take of any knowledgeable NBA fan who has realized that Westbrook has been a failure with the Thunder. SMH...
No metric or eye test will have Melo prevail in any scenario. Win Shares Russ has .245 WS/48 to Melo's barely above average .121. Don't even have to mention Westbrook's incredible play the last couple of season. He's surpassed Kevin Durant on his own team, and KD is arguaby top 5 or 6 still.
Please don't bring in Melo EVER in an argument with Russell Westbrook, it's an instant loss.

Please don't bring in Melo EVER in an argument with Russell Westbrook, it's an instant loss.
Carmelo is top 100 all time in win shares, Russ is at 205.

If Melo and Russ shouldnt be the same sentence. Then you shouldn't have to result to this comparison.

Mreinman don't save him, he don't wanna be saved.
The one piece of flotsam in The Trade that we got back for nothing, who ended being the worst PG in the league for awhile...

Of course not,
because they have chips, they make people betterthey play great defense all the timethey never get hurtthey...they're not Melo!LOL how many triple doubles does Melo have this season?
Lmao
Didn't know Robin Lopez and Arron Affalo were making the veteran minimum. Lmao
Did you just compare KD and Harden to Rolo and AA? Blaha. The hate warps minds. Keep trying.

yeah, I was going to let that slide, since he triumphantly thought Rolo and AA have obviously been playing with Melo his entire tenure here.
Next up, how ANYONE in the NBA worth anything would win more with Amare than Melo did.
