We've all had Knick players we loved and hated to see traded or leave the team, and we've all hoped they'd come back but most of what you've posted on this thread simply isn't true- you've even back tracked on your claims that he's all about winning and would never put money first (because he already has!)

I think you can make a strong case that over the past three or four seasons since he left, he would've been one of the best, if not the single best point guard on the Knicks. He had a clear role and success here, even under Woodson. It took him a while to find a good situation again in Charlotte. Rockets was a bad fit because Harden runs the point and controls the ball so much. Lakers were just a hot mess. Charlotte is well coached and has a good plan.
But overall, really not interested in having this debate! It's done!

You are right there; you have nothing to argue or debate with other than 15 minutes of fame here that he parlayed into 20MM, a mystical 4 year plan and pointing out that Lin would be the best PG on a team with little to no backcourt to speak of.

I knew just based off of Coach Woody. Linsanity was no more after D'Antoni left and the playoff that followed where Lin was 80% able to return...
I knew Lin was gone as soon as Coach D'Antoni resigned. I didn't take a guess. I made that prediction long before the playoff started and one of our moderator said that I was being silly and that Lin is going nowhere.
A bunch of other members also chimed in and said it was impossible for Lin to go somewhere else.
You didn't know so you had no facts about it so it was a guess which you can call a prediction but no matter what you call it you didn't know anything so you guessed on what you thought would happen and it happened so congrats on guessing correctly.

I'm sorry but "Lin, you can continue to be our back up point guard next season and keep doing what you're doing at 2.2 million." isn't going to fly. If Charlotte wants to insult Lin with a 2.2 million contract while they were giving Lamb far more and who were less than instrumental this season, then Lin has every reason to walk.
