This is going to be really interesting to see Lin/MDA reunite. Lin/Harden was a pretty lethal backcourt combo. What was it? 2nd best backcourt combo when they were together with Lin being the 2nd player after Lebron to score more points in the paint.
is this a fact? cant sign before july 1

MDA has reached out to Lin personally and when he goes to Houston, he'll be a starting PG and a primary ball handler plus $$$ that Charlotte can't give. MDA had Nash and his Nash 2.0 is Lin and he wants to re-ignite that in a huge way.
Charlotte have other free agents to deal with as well and who knows where their priorities are at. Knicks are going after Lin as well. Chicago. Los Angeles Clippers & Lakers, San Antonio...

He has a great role in Charlotte that suits him and he has a coach that recognizes and respects his talents. I think Harden stifles him and I think he should be the guy playing the point. The Rockets had to give up a first round pick to get out of Lins first contract. I don't think they go there again.

With Coach D'Antoni at the helm, he'll just let loose Lin 100% unlike other coaches who only goes 10 to 30%. Coach Clifford only went 30% with Lin and look at how good of a season he had with Charlotte. With a 100% Lin going off on a tear, you'll probably see him shoot volumes and end up having 20+ PPG.
Speaking of Knicks, they badly need a PG and their only three options are Conley, Rondo and Lin. You know they're going after Lin as well.

Good luck in Houston. Him being in NY would only open old wounds and unmet expectations. Let's move forward.

Beware of Syniko's 'facts'- here are his other declarations of fact from a few weeks ago, from his thread entitled "Jeremy Lin is coming back to New York in 2016/17"
Charlotte will not be able to keep Lin because of how valuable he is to the team.
New York is going to get their best point guard back next season.
He would stay in Charlotte but if New York came calling with more money and a starting position, he would take New York's offer and New York wants him back.
New York wants Jeremy Lin back. I'm not making this up. This is fact. New York wants Jeremy Lin back and it's going to happen.

I do actually think Lin to NY makes more sense now we have the new coach- as I've said in the past, I'm not a huge fan of Lin's, but his game is similar to Dragic's.

Is that possible with Harden? Would make more sense if Lin took the Barbosa role of instant offense off the bench.
