https://twitter.com/StarburyMarbury?ref_...He's back!!!!! Full of bravado. The shoes are back after years of exile! Jumping on Jordan for his expensive shoes, Jumping on Dolan and D'antoni without any expression of culpability for his part.
The man who claims to be a "Peace Star" is mostly about selling his brand. If he truly evolved, he'd have reflected on his experience and journey, but instead still harbors the resentment of his exile from the NBA.
Poor choice of words to say he'd never return by "gunpoint" the day after Orlando shooting.
Yes, he came into camp in shape but he came in not about the team, but about himself. He was benched because he was not coachable. The body language usually told the story.
My friend has a funny expression when one of her teenage kids comes to the dinner table with attitude: "If you gonna bring that "PhuchFace" to the table I'd just as soon you leave and come back when its gone".
Marbury back in town to sell his crappy sneakers. If you ever wore a pare you'd understand just how bad they are. As for his marketing the company like a charity, Im not buying it. This guy wants to sell apparel, and not a damn thing wrong with doing that, but disguising it as one seems cheesy to me.
Every once in a while Marbury would publicize his "Being at peace" with how it all went down. Its obvious he is wrong. He was bought to NY and he did little to further the cause of bringing the knicks back to relevancy. Not that this franchise was a great environment to do so, but his toxic nature was a part of it. To not accept his role or recognize his immaturity demonstrates insincerity, and really not much has changed since he was a knick.
He gave a million dollars to Katrina survivors I believe, so I do believe its unfair to question Marbury when it comes to philanthropic activities. Marbury is no saint, was happy he finally left NY, but Im not going to pretend like he hasn't done some good in this world.

Never said he was evil, or does not do good. He was on a high horse with his "Starbury" brand which was a for profit venture and did much to perceive that he was changing the world with cheap sneakers.
Marbury had many faces to him. His heart was in the right place but at the same time he was an awful part of MSG, "Get in the truck or what", and toxic to th organization.
New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury was overcome with grief when he announced at an NBA players union conference last month that he was donating between $500,000 to $1 million. A young man of 28, Marbury sobbed like an eight-year-old as he mourned for children, Katrina’s most vulnerable victims. "You see little babies floating in the water," he lamented to the New York media and his fellow players. "I mean, it’s like my kids. You don’t think about nothing else."
Still weeping uncontrollably he continued, "We complain about the littlest things … we’re so fortunate."
Throughout his career, Marbury’s court image has not been that favorable, but there was no doubting the sincerity of his heart at this conference or the genuineness behind his pledge. Furthermore, in expressing his thoughts about his own children, it was evident that Marbury recognizes that what he has in family is of much more value than his annual $16 million contract.

Good to know he has pledged that amount. No way to know what he actually paid (vs pledged). He has been foreclosed on his LA home and NYC condo. His wife has been on basketball wives and has mentioned she is knowledgeable about his extramarital affairs. Marbles is a complicated dude. I judge a man not on his intent but on his actions.
Admittingly I am bias about this guy. I don't like him.
Let the past be the past Nalod. Marbury had a very bad stint in NY, but he's moved on. It's not like he's currently on the Knicks now causing problems.
Sheesh, talk about holding grudges...

Yes, I should heed your advice about grudges. Your well versed.
I am still suffering from "PIS": Post Isiah syndrome!

Its cause he said mean things about D'Antoni isn't it?
