If Melo threw his sweaty headband at a fan & then Lala tweeted that the whole league was rigged? We would have an outpouring of media types calling him reckless and out of control and her classless and demanding that she take down her tweet and apologize to all of America. Instead, we are getting and endless procession of hacks saying that this is a champions fire burning hot and what leadership he's displaying in advance of a crucial game 7. Such hypocritical bull$h!t that passes for journalism these days.

It was funny to see the sweetness of this beloved power couple curdle last night.

At least Curry immediately apologized to the fan he hit.

I agree with this. As Riles said in an interview once when he was still beloved in Knick-land: "Live by the three, die by the three".

melo would have to be actually make it to the finals, which is harder to imagine

Steph has already carried a team to a championship and is knocking on the door again -- Melo on the other hand has scored a lot of points and never lead anything in his life.

When Melo wins 2 MVPs and wins a ring, he can fart in the pope's face for all I care.

You get a hall pass for life in NY just winning 1 of anything. So far he hasn't come close.

Its all about labels....Its not right but if life right Now, until we change it.

Melo with his corn rolls set the base for his perception as a hip hop mogul.

Steph came in as this baby face kid with no cultural links to hip hop, fashion or street cred. Thats too norm for the media. They like to focus on whoever goes against the norm.

Then add in NY swag which is something Melo has. As a new yorker who lived outside of NY, I've learned that we will always have haters just because nyers are different.

So its the good boy vs Bad boy scenario. Which means life is about perception over reality.

Manage how you are perceived is like taking the safe road through life. That's why I give credit to players or people not afraid to be different ...
