How much? What are they saying?
They are saying 2 or 3 million!!
Hard to believe...sure hope they are wrong.
We do have a number of 2s next year, at least 2 of them as far as I know...they could be used in a trade, too.

I guess the waiters era is over
Lol
waiters era? like the hardaway jr era?
Trying to finure out why comparing the Hardaway is funny. OKC traded for Oladipo who is destined to come off the bench playing next to Westbrook. That's Waiters Role....
Hardaway eventually got us Derrick Rose... I guess Phil is the one laughing
Oladipo will start for them. I like that trade more and more
It really isn't a bad trade at all.

Why? Is OKC blowing the team up?
I see it as a strange trade of Orlando, though.I'm not a gigantic fan of Ibaka.
He is a FA after next year...OKC must feel they won't be able to keep him if they have to sign Westbrook and Durant.
I really wonder what KD's reaction to that move is... I like Oladipo... but... hmmm...
My thought too. Makes no sense. Possible upgrade over waiters at 2 but ibaka will be missed.
Getting a good vibe for knicks
i still dont see him coming here
Agreed. I don't think Durant comes here no matter what. When it's all said and done I think he stays in OKC. At least on a 1 and 1 to see what Russ does
At least he's already agreed to talk with us July 1st is enough for me to say he's thinking about playing with us, he might not sign but i believe we have a better chance than most on here. He's good friends with Rose and Melo and we do have that unicorn kid.
He has not agreed to talk with us July 1. That was Hahn speculation.

And here's where the deal really shows it's potential. Rose's presence is an attention-grabber for free agents this summer. So perhaps it gets you a dinner with Kevin Durant in Los Angeles on July 1, but it likely isn't enough to get him to sign on the dotted line.

I say keep the money. It's not worth it. I'm not giving these teams my money. If a guy like Whitehead or Dejonte Murray go undrafted then we can just sign then outright
It's not your money. It's Dolan's. And frankly, I say Dolan owes us his cot damn money at this point.

We have a full $3M to spend that resets on July 1. No reason not to buy a pick for $3M. This is one of the few times our deep pockets come in handy.
these picks after mid-lotto are all draft and stash. interestingly enough.

Man o man if we could get murray
Murray is not NBA ready, if he's only 170 lbs at 6'5
What position did he play in college? Unless he's a PG, he seems extremely undersized at 170.....Which means he's actually 160 plus.....thats very light at 6'5.
Chris Paul is 20 lbs heavier and he's barely 6'0
Shaun Livingston is 182 at 6-7
There's many players in the league that everyone said would need to gain weight to play in the NBA and never really have but are good/great players.

exactly. I love the optimism but durant signing here would be extremely suprising. Not being negative just honest

I don't want to talk up Dolan. He's been out of the picture for 2 years and I want to keep it that way
Thon Maker looks and sounds like an Xman figure....
What are they talking about? You can't have kids not like their draft selection and just go back to school. You're either in or you're out...What about the teams that drafted them then? They make the selection and then get the shaft when a kid decided he doesn't like the team that took him or doesn't like where he was picked?? Not happening..
The Sun's drafted 3 of the same player..... terrible
So when are we buying the pick and taking Whitehead?

If we win 45-48 games and make the playoffs and win a round next year THEN we can be in the discussion to add a superstar.
PhilinLA wrote:So when are we buying the pick and taking Whitehead?
Fingers crossed so hard for Whitehead or Gbinije.
Hearing and seeing Thon Maker on the Vertical.
Anyone think he might be older than the record says...was born in the Sudan.
He sounds extremely intelligent and articulate. The guy is ready for the NBA media. Very likeable guy, IMO.

I beg to differ. Oladipo will barely see the ball. Waiters was not great but actually pretty good w interior passing. Oladipo?..
The more I think about this the less I like it w the possible exception that oladipo is tradeable

Dammit - that's another steal. Why are other NBA teams so friggin' dumb???
so what's the deal with dejonte?
