This guy is actually really good. I've seen him play a few times. Plays both sides of the ball. Good athlete and cans handle and shoot

Tremendous scorer's mentality, wicked speed, tight handle, underrated passer -- I mean he was just talking about how important it was to get a attacking guard discussing Rose. That's what this guys is. Man, we're razor thin behind Rose at the point...This kid could be a better version of Monta Ellis, a guy who could score 20 ppg right away in the NBA if a team decided to use him like that. No doubt in my mind. I would love to have Cat Barber.

30 teams passed on him. It's not just Phil

People forget that we will have roster spots to fill on the cheap.

We really do need to give this guy a shot. It's up to Cat Barber and his agent

I was just gonna post some video. You're right -- looks like he can definitely shoot, plays both ends and it looks like he's got a pretty quick 1st step.

Hesgot a got motor too. Kind of a locked in persona. He's a gamer. The guy competes.

So, in an underwhelming draft, prices for picks went through the roof.

I can understand standing pat and waiting to sign undrafted players.

I can't understand it. Not when the Warriors and Cavs, the two best teams in the league, went out and bought 2nd round picks. The Cavs paid $2.4mm for the 54th pick for Christ's sake. We suck and have an empty roster. We should've been much more aggressive. I'm disappointed, not gonna lie.

Winners of draft

#1 Golden State--wow did they make out from a deep position but they are the new spurs

#2 Denver--Malik Beasley and Jamal Murray

#3 Bucks--ballsy pick but I like it and got a tight guard at 36.

#4 Cleveland--Kay Felder perfect pick for them

Boston has too many picks and had no feel for what they did?? They did get three muscular young athletic players in Davis Bentil and Brown--but they needed something more.

Knicks Baker? A guy who regressed. I dont know what position he plays but he does have good hair. Someone likes Wichita State back there . Problem is both players arent NBA players.

I was disappointed too. Not many picks were sold. There was a part of me that thought the Knicks/Phil think they did their work for the week. I don't think they get the money back that wasn't spent.

Surprised you don't have Pelicans drafting Buddy who may be perfect for them or Chi drafting Valentine a needed ball mover on the wing.

I know i'm late and its probably been discussed. But Thunder completely robbed Orlando with that Ibaka trade. Oladipo, #11 pick Sabonis & Elyosova. Ibaka is a good player but I don't feel he is worth all that.

Oladipo can probably be had if Westbrook stays now though.

Chandler @ 6/24/2016 7:07 AM
It was smart to stand pat and not overpay. The draft will inevitably create log jams and a lot of these guys or guys from last year will be looking for jobs in the not too distant future.

Oladipo is the best 2guard they've had since Martin. He has improved every year and is a good defender. Its a silly trade for Orl since Ibaka has only 1yr left

When I see Westbrook I ain't think adding olidipo makes you better. Both guys have the same game. Westbrook is olidipo on steroids. It changes his they play now. Do they start Waiters now and bench olidipo? I don't like it. They did need to upgrade Ubaka... not sure if they did that.

I agree with you but the one draw back is that some of these guys never get used and their skills tend to basically fall off the cliff. Situation is the most important aspect to these rookies and young players.

I totally disagree with your premise here. There are always guys that fall thru the cracks in the draft. Hopefully we find some success with UDFA's.

Yes it's easy to point out the few exception that did pan out but the undeniable fact is the overwhelming majority of them don't last in the NBA very long. If you use data on past success rate from late second round picks there wouldn't be any reason to make that transaction.

Agree what was Orlando doing there?
