oh wow predicting a fall already
is this being negative or realistic?
the wait and see approach is lost to so many knicks fans who are used to getting shafted i dont see a shaft applied here
I hope all of them cause he stinks when he plays.
people kept saying the same about bargs "if only he can stay healthy" guess what? he was much better for us in a suit.

"I'm good, man," Rose said. "I felt like I've been managing myself pretty good. I know a lot of people get mad when they see me sit out or whatever, but I think a lot of people don't understand that ... when I sit out it's not because of this year."I'm thinking about long term. I'm thinking about after I'm done with basketball. Having graduations to go to, having meetings to go to, I don't want to be in my meetings all sore or be at my son's graduation all sore just because of something I did in the past. [I'm] just learning and being smart."
Now that is crazy. He is sitting out because he is worried about his health after basketball. Dude, if that is your attitude, then quit playing. Don't waste our time collecting a check, if you are not all-in. That is why you get paid millions, so you are compensated for sacrificing your body. The dude does not get it. Or, maybe I should say the dude is not fully committed to what it takes to take a team to a championship.
Kings ransom?
We gave up Timmy Hardaway and a journeyman center.
We got back huge upside potential. This could make Melo better, and the GodZingis better.

+1 - If it blows up we have the pick. I don't personally see things going that south since we still have 30 mil to burn. Even if we finish as a backdoor playoff team this year, we have a mid-late 1st round pick and tremendous flexibility. We've had way to much money tied up in the front court for way too long. It's a backcourt league baring major rule changes. We finally have flexibility to spend there.
I assume money will be spend in the backcourt this off-season with Herandogomez, KP, and a cost effective filler at the 5.
I was hoping that someone could answer this... I thought Rose decided to shut it down and that caused problems in Chicago. Meaning, he decided not to play but probably could have played. Did that happen or am I making that up?

That happened! It initially got huge flack thenot every player around the league did the same nonsense. Thad Young sitting out to rest for next season. Lol!

Im not trying to be negative but considering rose's injury history along with our terrible luck i wouldnt be surprised if rose is out half the year. On the flipside i wont be surprised if Grant takes a big step with the Bulls and lopez continues to do well on a sweet contract
35
I think that is a great line!
I'm putting it all on over (missing more than 35 games) because we're the Knicks and when was the last time we acquired an oft injured star player and have it work out to our benefit?

Marcus Camby worked out pretty well no?
Its really about what you give up. McDyess hurts because of the picks. We gave up part for Rose. I do like Grant but he showed very little last year and was very bad at times. Lopez was a nice pickup but a pure FA (no assets used to acquire him). Holiday may stick

I suppose that the big difference is that Rose has an expiring contract, and it seems to be the only saving grace with this trade, which seems to have been made for next year's FA crop.
WHich is great as NY has its pick and will have $51M to work with!
