Curious why the Knicks haven't looked into Jarrett Jack. He was making 6mm and I assume would be a lot cheaper, is the perfect veteran backup for Rose, and allows more $ to try and resign Lance Thomas.
Yes, he's coming off an injury, but he's not injury prone. He played 80 games in each of the 3 previous seasons.

He's a shooting guard that isn't a scorer and a point guard who isn't a passer.
He can maybe occupy some mins on the court without killing you, but has no particular stand out skill.

His shooting percentages don't suggest someone who finishes well. His FT attempts doesn't suggest someone who gets fouled much.
If he isn't getting fouled and he isn't converting baskets, what exactly is going on when he gets to the rim.
Someone with that ability shouldn't also be almost a non-entity as a passer either.

Solomon Hill has been in the league 3 yrs and hasn't done much, yet he just signed a 4 yr 50 million dollar deal. Rivers can command somewhere in the Hill neighborhood. Perhaps a little less only because Hill is a legit SF...Rivers can get anywhere from 8-11 mil per.
Afflalo is getting 12 per....i think Courtney Lee can get as much if not more. I doubt Lee will take our 10 mil per....with that said, I'm ready to put an offer on the table for Rivers.

If Lee is definitely out of the equation, I believe Rivers is better than whats left, its that simple.
