Knicks · Mavs To Sign Harrison Barnes To Full Four-Year Max Offer Sheet (page 1)

KNICKSBIGCATS @ 7/2/2016 10:08 PM
4 yrs 95 million
Vmart @ 7/2/2016 10:12 PM
I guess I will be seeing a lot of Harrison Barnes since I will be moving to Dallas. Who knew I had to leave NY for the Knicks to become a real team.
MX25 @ 7/2/2016 10:21 PM
GS can't match that…23.75 for Barnes…yikes.
WaltLongmire @ 7/2/2016 10:36 PM
Either he's going to blossum and show a game that he never had to show on GS, or everyone is going to see that he's a limited player who benefited from being on a team where he got overlooked on a regular basis because teams were trying to stop the Bash Splash Brothers.

So am I....what part of Dallas?

BRIGGS @ 7/2/2016 10:59 PM
I thought Mike Conley was bad this takes the cake. Mark Cuban has lost a few steps

Wrong sport. It's splash. You're going to upset Jose Canseco

SocraticBallin22 @ 7/2/2016 11:02 PM
Ridiculous contract. Barnes is not a MAX player. He proved that in the playoffs this year. He is, at best, a 3rd option on a good team. Cuban keeps getting rejected and has gotten really desperate. SMH.

He's desperate to be relevant again. Cuban messed up, lost the momentum, after they won it all. The Mavs have been paying for it ever since. I doubt this helps.

crzymdups @ 7/2/2016 11:08 PM
Lol that's desperation. But I think Barnes is better value for $23m than Chandler Parsons.

Ahhhh...

Thanks.

I agree. I think Memphis may have some regrets.

During the 2016-17 season Barnes will be making about 2X what Steph Curry is making, and over the next 3 seasons he will be making about $20M (give or take a million or two) more than Thompson will be making over those seasons.

Perhaps he should be sending those two some big Christmas gifts.

Great owner but for some reason they always strike out with the big names in free agency. If not for an amazing performance from Dirk and some key in season trades Dirk would still be chasing his first ring

Maybe he's not such a great owner then?

y2zipper @ 7/3/2016 1:20 AM
The Mavs are like Boston: well-coached team with b talent and can't hit the bottom because of it. Dirk has kept them competitive for a long time but isn't an A talent.

Golden State has to match this offer sheet though.

Is he also the GM there? Amazing they never get anyone despite not having state tax

I think the gm is Don Nelson's son.

Thats right. Might be time to replace him with someone a little more hip.

Still trying to think when they actually signed an elite player. Was thinking Michael Finley in 96 but he came in the Kidd trade.

Wow, Rolo was basically on a rookie contract!
