Knicks · Knicks rescinded Galloway's Qualifying Offer (page 2)

Like Gallo but he is overrated as a defender, though acceptable. Just looked beter alongside Calderon. Hopefully this can aid us in resigning DWill, though it may be a pipe dream.

You don't cry over Galloway.... and because you think he's the best defender on our team? You deserve to lose. If all these moves result in making the playoffs.... I don't want to see you cheering for this team. Go to ultimategalloway.com

My only other thought on Galloway is that maybe Hornacek didn't like a single guard we had on the roster.

Not enough anyway. It sounds like he was rescinded to sign Willy to a longer deal.

Begley is speculating that the move was so the Knicks can sign Willy to a longer deal then the room exception.

So this seems to be phils vision

Rose/Jennings/filler
Lee/holiday/filler
Melo/lance/filler
KP/dwill/vet min
Noah/willy/oquinn

Is that possible ?

it would be great to retain williams. i really like his potential role on this team, especially with rose and jennings pushing the ball.

I cry over the lack of foresight from the FO in April when Gall was nearing 2000 minutes. His QO would have only been a little over a $1m.

I didn't know if it was possible to retain DWill... I would love it if so. He'd fit perfectly in a second unit with Jennings - lob city jr.

I agree. Pretty poor planning, especially since the knicks were nowhere near playoffs.

Always a fan of Marks with this kind of stuff.

Wonder if this is Phil's plan?

I would like to see Gallo back...tough kid, and I think he would be better as a SG with fewer ball handling responsibilities.

It sounds like we can still offer him a deal as high as Lance's deal... I would not go that high with Langston... but I'd go like $3M per year for 2-3 years...

agreed. Phil make it happen and gain back some of my respect.

I was checking out Charlie Rosen's reviews of the Knicks moves. This is his take on Galloway.
Langston Galloway has been tendered a contract and could very well return to New York, but he’s very cautious with the ball, is an erratic shooter, over-handles and flat-lines the triangle whenever he plays the point.

over handles is something I never heard associated with Gallo and who doesn't like a player who doesn't turn the ball over?

lang is a home grown, feel good story, period. Seriously limited skills here. We are trying to build a champion, and he's neither PG nor SG. He can't run the point well or really score, and is only good for energy defense. He's a 10th-12th man.

I'd rather have a young developing guy with higher ceiling at that spot on my roster, like a Jerian Grant.
