My bad. Thanks for the help

I love how he gets angry when he misses his free throws but hate that he misses free throws.

He looks like a mid first round pick... More kudos to Phil

Have u ever tried a similar drill? Im a good shooter, but when im doing drills that uses my legs or lower body, your legs get fatigue. What we are seeing is exactly what u will see in a game....he will clank his free throws because hes not used to running up and down at nba speed. That will improve over time.

He has that old man game that will be around for ever....low to the ground....uses both hands in the post.....he will be a solid roll player for years. His foot work needs to improve but hes also a 2nd rd pick for a reason. Good young bench player to have.

newyorker4ever @ 7/5/2016 1:22 PM
Yeah i think some people are expecting too much too soon for him and think it will take some time but think he's gonna end up being a really good role player for us. I sure as hell hope i'm wrong and he gives us a good 15-20 minutes almost right away but think he'll need time.
RonRon @ 7/5/2016 1:40 PM
our Jon Leur?

Mirza and Jon Leur signed good deals considering their age/versatility and the cap the way it is
Great moves by both Detroit and Bucks this summer so far, though Delly was overpaid, he is a player that is still getting better and is just a GREAT TEAM player that defends/facilitates and can shoot/score if needed

Ish Smith and Mirza are GREAT DEALS
Thon Maker in addition to Giannes/Middleton/Parker/Henson has great length/versatility that will be hard to defend

Both did VERY WELL with what they had in the draft to go with their young cores

I expect him to be able to play some right away... I don't expect a star, but this isn't a college kid. He's been playing with pros and grown men at a high level for a couple years. This certainly had an impact on KP also. I "expect" him to beat out the guys on the roster for rotation minutes at some point this year, if not right away. Time will tell, but I think he's good.
ChuckBuck @ 7/5/2016 2:02 PM
Looks like conditioning and weight could be an issue with him as he adjusts to the NBA game.

All fixable things though, IMO. Nothing that wind sprints and strict diet can't fix.

Weight?? He looks to be in good shape to me size wise anyway.

He looks like he still plays like he's heavy.....eventhough he lost some weight. It's an adjustment period all young guys have to figure out....Should he play heavy....similar to Zach Randolph.....Or light on his feet. Eitherway, he's not an above the rim player and he needs to use his lower and upper body to create space, along with his fluid post moves.

No... he's a grinder. Im sure Phil wants him to have a big ass :)

This is basic basketball stuff. I used to do this stuff all the time before I tore my acl.... I think I'm going to start doing that again with my lazy ass

Leuer's a interesting comparison, Ron. He had a pretty good year--dude can shoot it and was pretty productive last year in limited minutes. Good bench big, kinda like Jason Smith. I'm hoping for something a little more higher end myself (something close to Enes Kanter? Hoping for a go-to scoring option down low with good post skills and a guy who can rebound. That's Kanter's game at basically the same size--also supposedly two of Willy's strengths) but if he turns out to be Jon Leuer, that wouldn't be the end of the world. We can work with that..Who really knows--no one's seen him live yet and there limited tape on youtube. Really won't know until we finally get him in here and get him out on the court, hopefully for preseason. But I'm excited about Willy, man.

Absolutely. That's why I was not upset when Phil did not get a pick this year. Willy is our draft pick for this year.

Caseloads @ 7/5/2016 6:51 PM
Yeah, not worried about the lotto pick we lost this year...
