Cruz never forgave Trump for the comments he made about his family...especially his father.

Dislike both of these men intensely, and both are dangerous in their own way.

The real issue is that this has been one of the worst run conventions ever in terms of organization and decision making.

If Trump ran his companies like this he would have had even more bankruptcies than he actually had.

Plagiarism, poor timing, and not having control over the people you send to the podium are simply not the sign of an organized campaign.

The President is mostly a figure head. I was very impressed by Mike Pence He seems like he would win the Presidency easily against either of these two .

Despite the royalty of the Trump family they do a hell of a better job trying to relate to blue collar Americans than Romney or Bush ever did.

This thread demonstrates whey we don't deserve any better.

Guys says nice things about this mom, his family and says pretty boiler plate stuff about values and 'yeah, he's ready to be commander-in-chief'.

President is chief executive officer of a diverse nation, and we've picked up the talking points that his convention is a success and he's ready to be president because his children are physically attractive, reasonably intelligent and can perform a speech.

Disturbing.

No, he would not, because the idealogical divide between the right and left is very real, and the demographics really don't favor a party who has lost support of non-whites on merit.

That's because blue collar Americans are their customer base.

Trump University didn't bother to try to appeal to educated, white collar American.

How can anyone vote for Hillary Clinton knowing she took it upon herself to set up a government shop in her basement? I know why people don't like Trump but he's a better choice than the latter

We are in good hands. From the start I said Trump just needs to be surrounded by the right people and his choices have exceeded my expectations. Trump will be feared and respected as a leader and President. He won't be bent over and out negotiated by anyone but the good intention of people in his administration.

Trump didn't know what the Nuclear Triad was in the first Republican debate..There should be a minimum requirement of knowledge for the office of the Presidency..

This isn't a response to what I said, this is deflecting it by playing the common "well, she's worse" card.

i didn't post anything about Hilary Clinton.

I posted that the criteria people are citing in the last hour have no substance, and it's these low standards that give us the choices we have.

I didn't suggest anything of the kind.

I've merely observed the fact that Trump have preyed on the blue collar for this entire career, and therefore has learned to appeal to them.

Who do you think is the actual lifeblood of casinos?

You said this to me about looking at young players...Ill say it to you about this...judging political talent is not your niche, Briggs, if you think this guy is better than anyone the opposite party can put out there.

This guy is ignorant in terms of the world and the government he wants to lead...told my girlfriend what he is WWT: Wealthy White Trash. Guy is a bully, with little class.

Clinton is a political animal, whatever her faults, and it is going to be embarrassing for him in the debates if he can't have them set up so he doesn't have to go to deep into his very shallow knowledge of the government and the world.

Trump U took advantage of the fact that blue collar folk were looking to move up. Why not read up about how Trump U pressured people to spend 10s of thousands of dollars which they should not have spent for the Trump U advanced classes.

He's like Bush Jr... another guy who tried to portray himself as a "log cabin" candidate. Trump Jr. went to the same elite schools that he mocked on the stage.

Eric talked tonight about starting his own f'n foundation at 22. I was working at the Greyhound Bus station cleaning floors and doing volunteer work in Buffalo at that age, after paying for my own college by skipping a year to work.

No blue collars for the Trumps...just blue blood and silver spoons up their butts.

Give me a break with the blue collar narrative.

Which demonstrates the national problem the GOP has.

They've lost the popular vote in 5 out of the last 6 election cycles over 24 years (a generation). And a candidate with historically high unfavorables is leading in the polls and has a demographic advantage that is even more pronounced.

holfresh @ 7/21/2016 1:08 AM
I'm no fan of Ted Cruz but how can anyone expect him to endorse Donald Trump called his wife ugly and accused his father of being involved in Kennedy's assassination??..Does principles matter anymore?
