This is the equivalent of beating one's 12 year old niece in a pickup game. No disrespect to Melo, but this Melo-drama sucked out of a thumb is the epitome of lameness.

i saw him play 25 great games for the knicks last year. if he can turn 25 into 65 this coming season i'll be ecstatic with melo.

I second your sentiment, but pardon me for being less than excited about Olympic basketball and its significance vis-a-vis the professional league.

agreed and it's why i congratulated "olympic melo." he HAS to figure out how to get the very best out of himself and his teammates, especially kp6. he has to adjust to his diminishing physicality and become ever more cerebral, which of course means continuing to utilize his playmaking skills... which was what made him so GREAT for 25 games last season.

i am very intrigued by this starting lineup. noah is a superb playmaker. kp6 has demonstrated great court vision and has made some dazzling passes, so i am must see noah helping kp6 develop as a playmaker.

that's potentially THREE FRONTCOURT PLAYMAKERS to develop over the next two seasons. translation: the shortest distance to a title.

so you might understand why i am so leery of derrick rose's role on this team.

Uh, that's kinda lowest common denominator accolades on that tweet. He never made an ALL NBA 1st team. 3 Gold medals, whoop dee doo! Hard not to win Gold with stacked players all the time. He played 4 Olympics, so it'd be hard not to be the all time leading scorer as a volume scorer. The Syracuse title I'll give you. He's only advanced past the 1st round 3 times in his career, and he's missed the playoffs the last 3 seasons with the Knicks.

I mean we're celebrating mediocrity now?!!
