BRIGGS, you are pretty much example #1 why our country is in the shitter these days. Otherwise smart people who are constantly barraged with bad information and who eat it right up without using one ounce of sense or sensibility.

You still believe Trump will act in the best interests of our country when he himself has never demonstrated one iota of that type of trait.

Any retraction? Not sure why you rely on getting your information from Hanity and Fox news, it's a poor start and it goes downhill from there.

What is also disturbing is what the hell is NASDAQ.com doing with "news" like this on its website?

Just because you put "The views and opinions expressed herein are the views and opinions of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of Nasdaq, Inc." at the bottom of this clickbait BS still doesn't explain:

- Why Adam Button of "ForexLive" is writing about this when it has nothing to do with the foreign exchange market? (Except for the stock photo)
- Why when you go to @ForexLive on Twitter, "The trusted source for everything in the world of foreign exchange, central banking and economic news", the photos include anti-Hillary memes, clearly showing its crass, juvenile bias on a purported business news source
- Why an article published around noon would have three major "updates" before the close of business day
"Update : These claims might be dubious." "Update : This is doing the round bigtime but others say she simply hasn't used @michelleobama since 2013 and that nothing was deleted on @FLOTUS" "Update: We'll get to the bottom of this. In the meantime, it's a reminder that it's silly season in US politics and rumors abound."

SO WHY ARE YOU REPORTING RUMORS AND SAYING "REPORTEDLY" IN YOUR HEADLINE LIKE YOU ARE A REAL JOURNALIST!!!

Silly season indeed. What a chump. NASDAQ should be ashamed of itself. I guess not, because the ad revenue for this clickbait bullshit probably keeps the server lights on. It enrages me because you are right martin: this is the crap gumming up the works of our body politic.

I watch Fox and I watch CNN. It amazes me how tabloidish CNN has become. What Trump has done is he flipped the script. There was a time when CNN use the high road and Fox the low road. Now Fox is taking the high road and CNN the low road. CNN is literally throwing shyt at the wall hoping it sticks.

Hillary might be the better president but no one can deny that she is toxic. She is the modern day example of the boy who cried wolf. If you lie enough no one is gonna listen to what might be true.

The article is about how ignorant the rumor is. Briggs put his stamp of ignorance on it.
Two weeks ago Michelle was out campaigning for her.

Nope. That asshole published that "article", tweeted it, got a bunch of clicks, and then slapped in half-assed retractions. "We'll get to the bottom of this." While how many thousands of tweets and FB posts zinged around the right wing internet in frothy excitement that NASDAQ is reporting "all the rats are jumping ship". It's a disgrace.

That's CPI adjusted #s. So, if I understand that right, middle class income went up at about an 8% faster rate than the cost of goods.

Those updates weren't there when it was first published. Debunked after the damage was done.

"We'll get to the bottom of this" and "its silly season" is not a formal retraction of erroneous reporting.
martin @ 11/2/2016 10:43 AM
Two weeks ago Michele Obama made some of the BEST political speeches out there in perhaps decades.... and has been stumping for Hilary for a long time.

And anyone who believes what BRIGGS both posted and literally got silly ELATED about regarding Twitter and removing some following has got their bass mouth so wide open to shit being drained down it that they really do deserve what they are getting fed. And just to be clear, it's hot trash.

Well said
DrAlphaeus @ 11/2/2016 10:48 AM
It even duped Nalod, because the press on the web is not like the dead tree press. Not as easy as putting the morning edition next to the evening edition and seeing the changes right before your eyes. This ForexLive asshole just hit the "edit" button on his post to not look like a total dirtbag. I don't even think its a totally cynical "let me make money off these Trump rubes" because it looks like he gets high on his own supply. The real rubes are NASDAQ for associating with this clown.
martin @ 11/2/2016 10:51 AM
Let's be clear on a few things, it's almost a summary of how our media and nonsensical voter groups are being swayed. The 2 times that voter interest has dipped for Hilary in the past 3 months:

- She got pneumonia and fainted.
- FBI Comey reported into the Republicans that some emails where found (while we all noted that he had not looked at one of those emails, didn't at the time have a warrant for those emails, found zero zero zero zero anything new related to emails and most likely wont).

Not policy. Not an underlying shakiness of character or anything new. Nothing. Literally nothing.

This is what swings votes these days.

Meanwhile, no taxes from Trump, rape trial coming up, 6 bankruptcies filed, no taxes payed in a scheme that may be worthy of investigations, probable ties to Russia, sexual assault victims coming forward, on tape showing us his sexual predator ways.

What am I missing?

The content of the article didn't dupe Nalod, just the updates created a new slant on the post.

The content of the article duped BRIGGS. 6th graders with a Twitter account can dupe BRIGGS and half the people voting for Trump.

Well that's what I mean, hence the morning edition/evening edition comparison. He figured the Updates were there from the start, and the purpose of the article was to debunk in the first place.

DrAlphaeus @ 11/2/2016 11:00 AM
BRIGGS could have read that before the Updates were in there... though I imagine they were there and BRIGGS just ignored them. And why not? The Tweet that took him there had that headline... the headline remained... the updates were weirdly written inline instead of boldly stated in an offset box. And THE HEADLINE STAYED THE SAME! Put DEBUNKED in the headline, or remove the article and replace it with a formal retraction. Not some BS about "silly season".

Sorry, this totally heats me up that we've had the Internet and the press around for this long and so many of us can't sniff obvious bullshit like this out. And this one has the backing of the second largest stock exchange in the world.

DrAlphaeus @ 11/2/2016 11:10 AM
It used to be you could just point someone to Snopes or Politifact, so what do I see happening this cycle? Discredit Snopes and Politifact as biased, so you can dismiss it out of hand. I don't go to Snopes because it's the damn Bible, I go because it's a good one stop shop of research with citations and a reputation of logical rigor that I can trust, or at least check out for myself. You know, since image memes and email forwards are lacking in footnotes.

It's a damn shame.

Briggs is posting absurd statements that he's not fact checking and that shouldn't sound plausible to someone with basic critical thinking skills. I'm glad Martin is calling him out.

Smells like a set-up... Let's burn a church and sign our name to it.

Probably paid for by the Clinton campaign.
