People voted accept it. These protesters are being ridiculous.
Electoral college mutes their voting power..It's not one man one vote in this country..Ellectoral college is skewed towards the republicans..So you see DEM winning the popular vote but REP in office..
Why should a guy in Ohio vote count more than mine...
The fact that is was this close proves how flawed Hillary was. Predictions had her winning by a landslide.
Thats the law for both parties. Like Vmart said now you have to accept it and deal with it
Slavery was the law too..It doesn't make sense that one person's vote has more value than another in an election..It's ridiculous..

Your right it should be one man one vote. But that same electoral college prevented a lot of NYand California republicans who didn't bother to vote knowing it's a blue state.

Not Trumps fault she blew Florida, Penn, Ohio, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Missouri & Michigan and didn't visit all the neglected towns Trump did. 5-6 States in a day vs 1-2 for her

So get rid of the electoral college and incentivize them to vote..No one prevented them from voting..They choose not to vote..

Yea Byrd was a Klansman in his 20s. He left, apologized and renounced the ideology. I will not offer an excuse for him or for Hillary — honestly Hillary is useless to me at this point, she's in the dustbin of Democratic history — but Byrd nor Hillary are no David Duke. Stop with the false equivalence.

If we are serious about the Electoral College, then we have to work to change it. It would require a constitutional amendment overriding the 12th, and Democrats don't have the state houses, governorships, Congress, the Presidency, and soon the Supreme Court.
There is no incentive for the GOP to change it to popular vote. It's how W won, and now Trump.
You can complain about it though. Just because Vmart says "deal with it" is neither here nor there. But it's bigger than that. guns is right. This is on Hillary as a candidate, the Democrats as a party, and their inability to connect with these people nationally.

California with a population of 39 million and Wyoming with 500k..Each have 2 senators with equal votes to decide Sumpreme Court...System is rigged in favor for whom??

Ye olde Connecticut Compromise. It is a union of semi-sovereign states. It will continue to disenfranchise us folks in the urban centers of NY and MA and CA. Our votes count less nationally. But smaller states might push back and say our money and influence count more and maybe it all works out in the wash that way.
Again, all fair to talk about, but this is discussing a fundamental restructuring and redefinition of what the USA is politically.

Well it's kind of silly to think the founding fathers would have the foresight to legislate 250 years in the future..The people of this country aren't being equally represented and it's favoring a certain class of people..
They had no issue allowing citizens united and the money influence in politics..But taking a step back and thinking about it..Other than tradition, it makes no sense...
like i said, they are now validated and empowered.

I agree with you. I'm not one of these "The Constitution is practically a Holy Scripture" "The Founding Fathers were prophets" types. When people say the "system is rigged" how much blame do we put on the Constitution? Usually the rhetoric is about "getting back to the fundamentals". I've never personally been that impressed with that approach because if you read the thing it obvious it's intentions are not about democracy so much as about republicanism and rights.
And right now the Democrats don't have the political power or capital to start amending the constitution. The "most recent" amendment — the 26th — took over 200 years to ratify, and is something about Congressional salaries... I mean no one really cares about that. 202 years from submission to ratification.
The one before that was the 25th back in 1971 lowering the age of voting to 18 which the contradictions of Vietnam, the draft and protest movements of the 60s forced.
I'm just trying to be realistic here about what you are talking about.
