Knicks · Most unpredictable NBA season coming up in years (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 9/13/2016 11:06 PM
Im not so sure that GS will be as good as advertised--so many teams have improved throughout the league. I do not see team tank anywhere in the league to start the season-- many teams are hungry different loaded--its just going to be a real wild race this season
Vmart @ 9/13/2016 11:21 PM
Cleveland-Warriors finals seem predictable to me.

and why is GS not as good as advertised? They just added one of the top 5 players in the league to an already stacked team. Are we trying to find faults in other teams? Lets say he came to them knicks, I am sure we would have gotten worse to and the same anti gs predicters would be doing the same?

I like the Spurs. I think adding Gasol Lee Dedmond and then I see a much bigger avenue/role for a guy I really like Andersen they have two good rookie role players. They will be abel to pound teams inside--I dont think any club is anywhere close to what they can show inside--then they have the defense rebounding and outside shooting

and that trumps GS who won 73 games and now added an all time great and top 3-5 player in the league?

I got Boston doing big things this year.
NYKBocker @ 9/14/2016 8:25 PM
Losing Bogut is going to be huge.
technomaster @ 9/14/2016 10:08 PM
The thing about Bogut is that they lost him every year to injury. A big reason why they won the title was that he happened to be mostly healthy at the right time.

So I agree that he's an impact player. At the same time, he's an injury waiting to happen. It's tough to plan when you don't know if a key player is going to be available or not.

Pachulia's steady, but not the defensive force that Bogut is. But he's also better than Festus. Hey could still use a quality big, but I haven't checked to see if there's anyone deep in their roster.

I think that picking up Durant is a lil huge too.

There is a lot of volume shooters there---lets see what happens

but all of them shoot at a really high clip so the more volume from each the merrier.

I don't think that's how adding volume to volume work

go with the hot guy or the one that is least double teamed. No way to stop all of them. I don't think that the word Volume is really in the GS vocabulary. They play a very pure game.

I dont think GS will make WCF, that team is too weird and lot of other teams are now more adjusted to defend and win GS, Cavs is more likely to win ECF than GS in West
callmened @ 9/15/2016 10:49 AM
it is? i think it will be GSW vs the Cavs round 3 rubber match

everything else will be unpredictable and up for grabs - that will make it exciting

EnySpree @ 9/15/2016 1:17 PM
Golden state sacrificed their bench to become top heavy. I think they will win big just not close to 73.
callmened @ 9/15/2016 4:25 PM
i dont think they will care about 73 wins. they did that and didnt win. instead i think they (and the cavs) will "pace" themselves. rest players and win 5 less games than they shouldve
GustavBahler @ 9/16/2016 10:41 AM
Im sure GS will do well, be in the hunt. The ball movement will be great, but will Durant be allowed, or be inclined to dominate? Curious to see if he turns into a glorified role player with all the offensive weapons on the team. If that turns out to be the case, his impact might not be that great. Im curious to see what Durant's role will be.

With all the firepower on GS, quality defensive players are going to be at a premium.

matt @ 9/16/2016 10:44 AM
Yeah I'm not 100% ready to give GS the title yet either. They did kinda gut the team to add KD. I think an underrated part of their success was depth and ability to play a lotta guys.

gut their team? c'mon ...

and btw, people forget that they added zaza pachulia and david west who are excellent pickups. Bogut was always hurt, Barnes missed every shot he took in the post season, Speights was a fun and energetic nut job, but still a mini loss ... barbosa, ok ... lets not go crazy here.

blkexec @ 9/16/2016 5:28 PM
How is this the most unpredictable season, when GS destroyed everybody and picked up KD. Lebron and company licking their chops for back to back chips.....

I'm not understanding the legitimacy of this thread....This is the most PREDICTABLE season ever!
