I'm a little worried about that. That's how he looked for the latter half of the Olympics. He is 32... we'll see, I guess... It's not like the Knicks need to rely on him for offense with KP and Rose and others... he can carry less of a load this season and pick his spots.

Hard to find a balance between push push push and then set up a complicated half court set like the Triangle. Hopefully they can. We'll see.
Thats the same sht grant struggle with, when to push, and when to set up, and it's very frustrating to look at, let alone play like that.
I love MDA's philosophy, it's the best thing since slice bread
mindy project looking smart
The KUZ FACTOR! Where has this guy been all game!?!?
Kuz looks like he's 12...lol

Melo has a lot of miles on him, he cant just flip a switch. Its going to take a few months.

Yeah! Hoped we'd see him sooner but he's looking good so far!

Moves well without the ball.

Well, typically Melo has come in very locked in after Olympics seasons - his best two seasons came after the 08 Olympics when we led Nugs to the WCF and the 12 Olympics when he got Knicks to 54 wins, 2nd round
Plumlee finishing strong at the rim and playing tough.
Randle needs to make the roster bc we need insurance for DRose and Jennings.

Melo was struggling to finish around the basket last year. It will only get worse this year. His athleticism is going, but it should not effect his midrange game.

Yeah, I take it back about Plumlee! Though his short arms have shown on D a few times and he's lost rebounds because of them a few times, I think.
Randle has looked good. We definitely need him as a third PG.

um its true of most older NBA vets. Takes longer to play at peak performance as you get older.
mindy looked really good in his mins

He has looked better than Willy, but Willy got almost no burn. I missed a bit in the middle though
Positives I take out of this game are Rose showing his inside game, enough to make up for forcing the issue at times. KP's stroke looks in midseason form. Bench players showing things here and there. KP should be able to play under the rim more with Noah back. He will find KP cutting.
Please no one overreact over the 1st preseason game. It means absolutely nothing. We have an overhauled roster with a new coach. I saw a lot of positives on offense, but the D was atrocious. Our D will not be that bad, especially with Noah in the middle.
1) Drose looks healhty.
2) KP was making it rain from 3 (shooting form has improved)
3) Mindy looks like a rotation player with smarts
4) Sasha made me laugh within 5 seconds of entering (4 pt play allowed)
5) KOQ is a BAD defensive center (rather see KP at the 5)
6) Plumlee looked serviceable--shocked me
7) Randle can play.
8) Mo is an athletic freak who hustles.
9) Pringles's mustache is gone (Is he still pringles?)
10) C Lee is rock solid at the 2
11) We saw more penetration from Drose and Jennings in 1 preseason game than from Jose all last season
12) we will not allow 20 3's on most nights
13) Dad Melo looked like Grandpa Melo at times
