Knicks · Melo feels disrespected by Slam Magazine's No. 15 ranking of him (page 2)

Probably about #25.

Melo is debatable between #10-15.... that's not a bad thing. There's alot of talent in the league.

To prove then wrong he needs mvp and a ring?

No...
He need to show better numbers across the stat sheet and bigger contribution to winning.
This year he has all set up for this - talent, coach, vets, youth... So no excuses.

His numbers are better across the board. The team is finally better again so we'll see.

He wants be known as one of the greatest then yes a ring and MVP lead the team. This is what stars do. I don't know how anyone can argue what he needs to accomplish to get in the top 5. His age and career have hit a downward trajectory. His numbers and game and ranking among players will only go down.

No that's what Lebron does. Not many players have win an mvp and a ring. That's ridiculous expectations for Melo. He's older now. He just needs to win as much as he can at this point. Championship being the goal.

If Melo wins he will automatically be considered for MVP and might get a couple of votes. He may not win an MVP but being considered puts him back in the top 10. Now if he wins a championship and gets the team to the finals his ranking shoots up even more. But as of now the 15-20 ranking seems most fair. The lack of wins distorts perception of his talent. Simply just win games and he gets back in the 10 range.

By end of the season Melo won't be in top 40'

He looks like he has shot back tonight and he is getting open looks. If he stays healthy he should have no worries.

I have Melo at 14. I think that's about where he is. And I felt I was being mildly generous. I have:

1. LBJ
2. Curry
3. KD
4. Westbrook
5. A. Davis
6. Leonard
7. Harden
8. Cousins
9. PG
10. Lillard
11. Irving
12. CP3
13. K. Thompson
14. Melo
15. Griffin
16. Aldridge
17. Wall
18. Butler
19. M. Gasol
20. A. Drummond

Didn't add KAT bc he's so young and hasn't done anything as yet. But he's right there. Feel free to disagree!

Seems just about right to me.

Btw why do so many people have Wall higher than Melo? He is way overrated.
