Baker might be doing the best job distributing the ball right now. Has to look to score more. Has shown he can do it.

It's all about where Rose's head is at.
Unfortunately, he's been absent . . . so there's not been much chance
to try and make him understand what his role has to be in the Triangle.
I think he needs to completely re-invent himself.
There's a great opportunity for him to do that within Triangle Culture.
But okay -- he's got one year to show whether he can do it.
Just not a great start so far . . .

The timing really sucked. Not sure why they couldn't have set the trial for June/July/August?

That's encouraging . . .
33 assists on 45 FG overall. Very encouraging. Lots of nice, quick reads for layups.
They only shot 7-26 from 3 and still won by 26pts. Though I think 3pt shooting may be a big weak spot this year.
Feels like we got several seasons worth of high picks in one offseason. So many rooks showing something. Good job Phil, hope we can keep them around.

Yeah. I am almost disappointed that KOQ had such a good game. I thought he would be moved. I do think Lou should be let go but Phil and Steve love Lou. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Given how well Sasha and Baker played tonight, I wonder if Randle may rehab in the D-League before coming back.
For the bigs, I thought N'Dour looked shakiest tonight.
I assume Tokoto is out, though he showed some flashes.
Plumlee, Baker, Kuz, Willy feel like locks.
I'm on the fence about Holiday. Might take Randle over him.

As many of us have discussed...this is where a good "minor league" system is needed. There is enough money around to do this...Even Melo talked about it the other day as something for the next CBA.
Time to get it done.
I am not sure if this subject was already touched in this thread but has anyone notice how well the bench plays the triangle? The starters suck at running it but the bench minus Jennings runs it to perfection.

i watched until the early 3rd quarter and yes what you say is true. it was a lot of pure triangle and beautiful to see. baker is very impressive with his decision making.
jennings just looks terrible out there but i'd give baker a lot more minutes and jennings a lot fewer.

I like him but he can't guard anybody.

If Holiday can be a defensive stopper, with his size it might be worth keeping him around over having Randle as a fourth point guard.

you mean he is worse than jennings and rose on defense?

His effort on defense is top notch so I don't know where "he can't guard anybody" is coming from.

Well you just told us how old you are...lol
Fine with me as long as we can call him "Meatballs"
Meatballs and Cheese lineup!!

i enjoyed hubie's observations of this team. he was high on baker, just said he needs to increase his foot speed, which is not out of the question. hornacek is going to find him minutes, cutting into jennings' minutes, who looks out of control much of the time.
personally i think holiday and willy will not get any play. too many bodies up front and willy has never played triangle before.
both noah and koq have. and on the guard front...holiday has no shot a la jerian grant..looks like we just swapped bodies there.
