Knicks · The next 10 games are very winnable (page 1)

EnySpree @ 11/5/2016 6:01 PM

We have five games on the books now...

I can make a case to win the next 10 games, but I think the Knicks could realistically get 6-4.... that means 8-7 after 15.

What do you think the Knicks record will be after 15 games?

one game at a time. As we have seen in the past the knicks have lost against "weak" teams.

Next 10 games? Only if Briggs calls it.

So far we lost against Cleveland on opening night after their ring ceremony... we lost to a hungry yet inferior team in Detroit, and a Chaotic run and gun team in Houston. We did smoke a retooling Memphis team and a Chicago team fresh off of the Cubs winning the world series and Rose/Noah returning to Chicago for the first time.

If the Knicks continue that trend, I can see 6-4 the next 10. The Knicks could beat any team in the next 10. It's about the circumstances at this point. We should take it game by game but it's fun to think ahead. The Knicks play Charlotte on the 27th. That's the Sunday after thanksgiving. At that point we well know what kinda team we have and if we need to make a trade or something to strengthen the team.

Given our spotty track record, I'd take 6-4 in a nanosecond because I doubt we'll win tomorrow's matinee game. It seems we typcialy fall flat in those encounters.

This is the first matinee with this group. New players, coaches and management... can't look to the past. There's only 5 games of material to go by

Even with several home games in the mix Celtics, Raptors, Hawks, Blazers are guaranteed losses. I do think they can beat the Jazz in the matinee today, but there's no such thing as very winnable.

Really looking forward to tonights game against Chicago Jazz (oops).
I'll be happy with 6-4 as we are really still learning to play with each other and have to get our bench in order.
Would like to see Kuz get some minutes to help scoring.

Anyone notice Randle is gonna be healthy soon? I think we might be releasing someone to make room for him. We can surely use his offense.

The bench is an issue Jackson could explore in the trade market or with a free-agent pickup. Point guard Chasson Randle (fractured orbital bone), who is not on the 15-man roster, is starting his rehab stint with the Westchester Knicks at training camp and is expected to be signed when he’s back in shape.

I think the Wiz and Dallas might be our two best shots to win, given the way the team has played so far.

I'll never have faith in something that has no pride in itself. when the Knicks play defense and realize they are the only team at home that stinks up the joint, then perhaps I will have "faith". I'll still hold on to my 45 win total though, although they are on pace to win 27.

With our defense, no game is a sure win. Our guys may stand up their game on any given night, if rightly motivated. But in general, any team will light us out of the floor because of our D:

this team sucks lets be real, terrible loss today. This team plays zero defense and the cancer Melo is rubbing off on Porzingis

If the team can't win at home then it's not a good sign of what is to come. I always maintained that MSG is not a good home field advantage. I would always wondered why but the conclusion I keep coming up with is that there to much pressure for the players. Once again every big game at home even in the past the Knicks managed to squander. It is a tough place to play for the home team.

Moke Hamilton said after the Detroit game that coaches tell their teams that they can stay and go out in ny if they win but have to go home right after the game if they lose. I don't know how often that happens but it would be a motivator.

two glaring issues may lead to underachievement, and they are (1)communication on defense and (2)melo continuing to refuse surrender of his primacy on the team to kp6.

and of course the number of bad shots rose takes and his usage to assist ratio.

reub @ 11/6/2016 9:23 PM
Chasson Randle with 21-3-3 in today’s preseason game for Westchester.

Nice. Is he playing with a mask? Berman implied that the Knicks will resign him yesterday. Not sure who gets waived but my guess is Plumlee or NDour if Berman is right.

Ha ha, when will posters learn?!- These threads always trigger disaster- many ultimateknicks posters have tried creating "the next x games are winnable" threads over the past 20 years- they ALWAYS end in tears!
