You all told me I was crazy about Phil and Rambis and the Triangle. Well, the idea that he'd go away from the triangle and Rambis lasted about six games.
Phil has completely undermined his coach six games into the season. This won't end well.
For the record, Rambis is a terrible defensive coach. Fisher understood how to guard the 3pt line. Rambis does not. That showed in the stats the last thirty games Rambis coached.
Anyone who says 30 games is a small sample size - I say to you it's bigger than SIX GAMES
phil sucks
we would have hired a real defensive coach
but instead we had to keep Rmbis to be Phil's spy
How long til Rambis is put in charge of the defense and the Triangle.
wow, this is really bad, and it wont be long before dolan steps in
Of course the answer to the lousy defense is to put one of the worst coaches in NBA history on the job of fixing it. Some will see any improvement as a vindication of Rambis, and by extension Phil for keeping him around. Not me. Rambis stinks on ice, and every other surface.
Phil better watch out with these ridiculous moves . If they don't produce mr Dolan is going to tell Phil it's your turn to coach .

Jeff had so much faith in Rambis that he left the position empty until now. That one voice sounds like Phil.
Does anyone still disagree we should have hired Thibs?
He is probably just a placeholder and we will get a real defensive coordinator soon.

An interview would've been nice!
I can't imagine Thibs and Phil getting along though. Too much ego for one room.
I will say, I'd rather have Thibs running the show than Phil.

I kinda doubt that. Rambis is Phil's eyes and ears.
Our defense got far worse last season once Rambis took over for Fisher. But Phil was happier with how they played it.
Rambis and Phil are didactic idiots.

Thibs would not get the job here he got in Sota and if he was hired how would he be put in a position to succeed?
If Hornacek wants to play an offensive lineup and Rambis wants to play a defensive lineup - who wins? Does Rambis get to text Phil to cast the deciding vote?
We've already seen KP benched for most of the 4th quarter that cost us a winnable game in Detroit.
My faith in this team figuring it out has nose-dived.

I agree. As long as Phil here, the head coach doesn't really matter.
Do you think the locker room has any respect left for Hornacek? Or do they assume Phil/Rambis are calling the shots?

I dont know.. we just arent privy to the conversations and how they go down. This might be a work in progress and JH has a lot of input and there is healthy dialog. Everyone always assumes the worst. Its the Knicks... I get it. What if they start playing better?

Hey I really hope they do start playing better. But I think it's fair to say that this is a worrisome sign. Why did Hornacek only get 6 games to figure it out? Especially when his new Pg missed almost all of training camp for a bogus trial?
If this works and the defense improves I'll be the first to applaud Phil and Hornacek and Rambis. I just think it's a bad sign. Hornacek looking uncomfortable addressing the media right now - it doesn't seem like he's totally on board. Maybe he's just annoyed at the media. Time will tell.

Look at Vogel and Thibs team records so far this season- we'd be freaking out regardless
