Knicks · As per Steven A (page 2)

NBA a player gets hot, you go to it.
Last nite the second unit with Melo turned the game. When KP got in, he got hot in that energy.

Steven A is a hack. Here we are talking about it.
No player should be untouchable if the price is right. If a team has emerging talent/assets and wants to cash in because they are closer to "win now" mode, then Phil, or any sane GM should listen and weigh.
That's just logic. Did SASmith offer any trade scenarios? Return on a trade? or just usual blowhard opinion "Cuz He a knick fan"!

The game plan is not to see who has the better match up for the night and go with that. That's exactly what they did last night when melo ripped off 14 straight points.

false reasoning: you are arguing from theory to make your point, meanwhile the average shot distribution for curry is 18, durant 17.6, thompson 16.5, with both curry and durant being far more efficient than melo. thompson had a very slow start.

was melo merely a "scorer" those 25 games last season? dad melo was an all-around player, with emphasis on passing and assists.

i do agree about matchups though, but by that reasoning kp6 should be touching the ball more than melo going forward since he has a mismatch every time down the floor.

I firmly believe in balance scoring, and the pelicans are the poster team of having one guy post video game #s, but losing every game.

I would love for melo to be more efficient, but i certainly don't want him giving up solid looks just to force feed KP, i dont want rose to force bad passes even though he can get to the FT line with his penetration.

I want these guys to be put in a position to capitalize on their strengths. Melo is not labron, and rose is not stockton or nash. Does melo take 20 shots when he is playing with his olympic buddies, no because he doesn't need to. Here in NY, he will need to carry the team some nights, just like KP, or rose

It's that simple.

Yeah well his ball hogness won the game for us last night.

it's this kind of thinking which gets us in trouble. He hits 4 or 5 shots in a row and we say he won the game. We forget he was like 3 for 10 or 11 or whatever before that

and from what I saw we won the game when we had our euro team on the floor moving the ball

IMO we're a much better team when others are setting the tone and we have Melo as an outlet. His pounding the ball into the floor kills momentum, team motivation etc.

Nobody forgets how Melo was playing in any quarter or any part of the game but the 1st half has nothing to do with making a comeback and getting all the momentum going your way like he did for us in the 3rd quarter.
