Knicks · Oquinn for Willie Stein (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 11/12/2016 12:31 PM
Great opportunity for us to add a defensive center on unit 2 for the LONG term. I like willy g more as
A 4 man. That would give us Noah kp Willy G and Stein. The latter 3 the youngest most talented young core in the nba. Defense for cheap here folks and we need some
shinmen @ 11/12/2016 12:40 PM
I would LOOOVVVE that but the kings would be the dumbest organisation in the entire history of human kind to do this deal.
newyorknewyork @ 11/12/2016 12:45 PM
They can get and would want more then that. They want to move WCS because they have a glut of bigs which is stunting his growth. They will want guard or wing help in return.
CrushAlot @ 11/12/2016 12:45 PM
I think you would have to give up more but their salaries work on trade checker. O'Quinn and 2018 first round pick might be enough.
nychamp @ 11/12/2016 12:54 PM
Yeah would be great for us but why on earth would they do that deal?
GustavBahler @ 11/12/2016 1:14 PM
Might have to throw in Baker.....
yellowboy90 @ 11/12/2016 1:53 PM
HOW about we throw in Derrick Rose and a 2017 2nd.

I like this idea.

in a heartbeat but they would want a better return
BigDaddyG @ 11/12/2016 3:35 PM
A O'Quinn for Stein trade is a ridiculously low offer to the kings. Also, I don't see Stein being a long-term cog with Kristaps here. Stein apparently wants a bigger role and im not sure he'd be content with an enviable bench role.
smackeddog @ 11/12/2016 4:30 PM
Think a trade of Lance Thomas for Willie would be more fair, but still very unlikely. Didn't briggs spend weeks railing against WCS?

The King's are the dumbest organisation in the entire history of human kind

crzymdups @ 11/12/2016 4:40 PM
Sign me up. I don't see them doing it, but I'd consider adding in something else to get Willie. Maybe a second rounder?

Right at pick # 4

WaltLongmire @ 11/12/2016 6:30 PM
He's been benched for Koufos, which is not a good sign at all, so Briggs is trying to deal for him when he is at his lowest point.

Not sure Kings would do it at this point, after only 1yr + change and with him being such a high pick. They would lose too much face considering who they might have taken over him.

Might be available next year, but I would be stunned if they would consider letting him go at this point, especially since they could not demand much back for him.

BRIGGS @ 11/12/2016 6:42 PM
o Quinn in the right spot could be a very decent player He's a vet under a very low contract that is very friendly. I'm not sure the Kings want to get younger but maybe Oquinn and a restricted #1 to 23 that conveys to a couple of 2s. I'm willing to spend a little to get back good cheap defense just like ok just did with grant
Knicks67 @ 11/12/2016 7:12 PM
Only problem with offering Oquinn is that they want to clear bigs not add more in a trade they clearly lose. I think Lance Thomas and a second rounder would fit the bill, I am getting tired of Lance I got paid Thomas.
callmened @ 11/12/2016 7:19 PM
i believe BRIGGS loved WCS heading into the draft. so far hes been unremarkable

yet hes still young and talented. thats exactly why the kings would laugh at acquiring KOQ.

kings need shooting...shockingly, affalo and mclemore arent cutting it

besides if we did acquire WCS does that mean were contenders? if anything it would mean that phil made a mistake paying noah $72 mill. which is exactly why this trade wont happen

If Phil acquired WCS it could make the Noah deal actually work by having a big that can take up the slack because Noah only plays a little over 20 minutes.

Oh my goodness i didn't think anyone could make a worse trade than Briggs did but you just did it. We can't give away 1st round picks.
