This kid will get a big contract.
He is from Indy, so thats always going to count.
Brad Stevens is his coach from Butler, he is now in Boston.
Knicks have Derrick rose contract coming off the books.
This kid will make big money anywhere he goes. Does NYC/Westchester have appeal to this kid?
He can play!

signing him would be an absolute godsend and would signal the official end of the melo era. he makes the knicks immediate contenders. heady ballplayer, as hubie brown says the game has slowed down for him. knicks need high bbiq players.

He makes a lot more if he stays in Utah and he is in a really good situation. He would be a great get but I doubt he leaves Utah.

I like him, he is like a slightly better version of Chandler Parsons despite their career WS/48 being the same. Gordan is younger and doesn't have the injury history plus he is a better play maker.

The problem is that the knicks do not have the money to make it work. They probably have enough money to get Hayward(4yr/$102m) but that means the Knicks will be without money to get a PG. It also means that the roster needs to be adjusted because of Melo and Lee already here playing the 2/3 positions. The smart thing would be to shift Melo to the 4 and KP to the 5. This means that Noah would become a very expensive bench player but if he is going to play 25 minutes a game does it really matter? Now they have to figure out what to do at the pg position after using the money from Jennings/Rose salaries coming off the books on a Wing player. The obvious idea would be to draft a pg out of what supposedly will be a deep pool but the knicks might play themselves out of an ability to draft a difference maker at Pg. They would also need both Baker and Randle to play themselves into legit role players while having both draft picks in 2017 be immediate contributes to even have Hayward make a difference

this is what should happen. knicks are going nowhere this season.

Another idea that just come to me is trade Lee with either Lance and O'quinn to free up space to go after George Hill. It would definitely be a better use of money for a slightly better player than Lee. Then again if teams are given the ability to Amnesty a player they use it on Noah. That would be said though but maybe they learn from the Amare situation.

Knicks should be able to sign GHill with cap space? Why trade decent players on friendly contracts?

If Hayward wants in they will be out of money so the Hill trade is what they could do after Hayward is on board.

This was a recent topic on the podcast Pro Basketball Talk on NBC Sports. They had a Jazz beat writer on and he said Gordon was active in the community and seemed happy there. He gave Boston an outside shot because of the Steven's connection. But the Jazz have so much trouble attracting free agents, so it's unlikely they'll low ball Hayward during negotiations. It just seems like too good a fit for both parties. But anything can happen.

If you had a choice, Haywood or Rose? Same money?
Say Jennings or Randle emerges a PG? Courtney lee off the bench or traded. Haywood is a big 2.
He is a wing player. Knicks go pt, two wings, two bigs. Its done a lot.
Its Haywood, Just saying.

I hear the same old stuff every year get this player or that player and we still stink on defense.. We should have signed Thibs as the team head coach but Phils ego got in the way.
