Agree with article, poster and stats backing the opinion. Also must note that he is playing over 30 minutes per game, progressing great and is currently an integral part of a possible playoff team. Not exavtly being held back. This notion about how he is being held back is only fueled by those short sited bandwagon fans who probably booed the pick in the first place. And now that they purchased a KP jersey, somehow feel less important if anyone else leads the team.
The good news is that this and most NBA organizations know the problems of leaving an unproven rookie all by himself. No matter how much potential they have. The best way to stagger this kids growth would be to believe all the fan hype, isolate him and place ridiculous expectations on him. This kid can be truly special but he is still just in his second year and still has a lot to learn. And as much as Melo haters dislike hearing it, Melo is a proven star and future hall of famer that makes the game much easier for him, when on the court. Just ask KP. Hopefully both Rose and Melo can continue to make him better and we can see a whole bunch of wins this year.
You know what I'd like to see more of -- the pick & pop situations Rose ran in Chicago with Pau and Taj Gibson. If you look at a lot of Rose's clips with the Bulls, it looks like he had a good feel for that play with those two. No reason in the world why he can't run that with Melo (come to think of it, I can't even remember the last time Melo came out to set a pick out high for a PG like that. Might want to see some of that esp. if Melo's gonna slide over and play some 4. No real problem with Melo, though, overall. He's been very good), KP, O'Quinn, Willy. Just a thought..
Whether KP's response is 100% the truth or not I ask -- what the hell else is he supposed to answer???
Yeah - I would really like to see Rose/Melo moved so I can play with some unselfish players going forward.

I don't think there is any hidden agenda. He genuinely likes Melo and playing with him. He sees Melo as a big brother. He knows Melo is going to play iso ball, but a lot of it is late in the shot clock and in situations where KP probably doesn't feel comfortable forcing shots. Melo is a better "forced shot-maker" than KP is still. KP knows that. Also, it's proven that Melo will look for KP and his first option to pass to is KP. Rose is probably too soon to tell what their relationship will be like, but KP and Melo are close and it shows.

They're not holding him back, they're giving him the time and space to develop at a natural pace. Again, Knicks fans have no patience. They want KP to be Dirk before Dirk was even Dirk.
You very clearly didn't read the article.
Actually I'm responding to the person who posted the article but apparently disagrees with it.
No bro hooked on phonics didn't work for you. Your reading comprehension sucks.
Check out the.... "uhhhhh....NOT" at the top of the article. You lost again
Thanks ENY, clearly my finely tuned sense of wit & sarcasm is lost on many here but good to know that I definitely have a 2nd career as a "click bait" title creator.

Click bait assassin!
