Its early, but Kuz is shooting 42% from downtown and damn he looks confident stroking that shot. He's long, athletic, and is adjusting to the physical play and is looking great.
OBVIOUSLY this is ridiculously premature but man... imagine if this guy ends up being a Peja type? A guy just versatile enough to keep killing you with that jumper?
You really see the potential and value of a guy like this when he's playing around talent, and KP/Rose/Melo/Jennings/Kuz line up was VERY interesting and effective last night. We took a hit on the boards but the defense held and offense was great.
Kuz.
Cheese.

He reminds me of Dunleavy alot. Dunleavy had some really good seasons in Indiana
He really is getting better with each game. Great pick up

That's a great comparison.
I'm gonna give you guys a blast from the past Detlef Schrempf.

YESSSS great comparison
The van Arnsdale twins!!!!
Actually he reminds me of who derrick williams was suppose to be!
How is derrick? Still telling everyone he is glad to have found a home and stability with a coach that believes in him?
avg 12 min a game, 6 pts, 2 rebs. Not even up to his 9 pt, 4 reb career avg.

The PLUS of Kuz is that he knows how to play team ball. He's not quite as explosive as DWill but his game is more well rounded. This is perhaps one of the smartest teams we've had in terms of overall BB IQ. Kids like Holiday, Willy and Kuz actually know how to play.

I'll go a step further. He's a more athletic, good version of Brian Quinnett...man, those were some painful days.

No mention of how bad Melo is? You feeling OK?
I knew he was a solid pick up from day 1, the only thing I'm surprise at is why isn't he avg at least 15 min per game, especially with lance having no impact, and now, not even playing.

same, watching his highlights you could see his game translating to the NBA real well. not only is he a sharp shooter he also rebounds well, and can get to the hoop with ease. he uses his length and quickness really well. he also makes the right passes.
he's only going to get more comfortable with more PT. I think Horney is already rewarding him with big minutes like we saw vs portland.

well early on and in the preseason lets face it... he was terrible defensively. Now you are seeing he's making some good adjustments. He's also clearly a wing and not and inside presence at all. He's really like a very tall SG
yeah I agree with both of you guys.
It's really amazing how fundamentally ready these euro players are. They don't come with a lot of flare and physicality, but the basics are there, the spacing, passing, taking good shots, knowing when to cut.
I believe you can find at least one international player on every NBA team.
I would take Kuz over Dwill any day of the week
Getting Willy and Kuz for 3 years at rookie type deals is simply a great job by this front office
would you say that move is better than signing Kidd, Kt, Camby, Novak, with next to no cap space?
knicks1248 wrote:would you say that move is better than signing Kidd, Kt, Camby, Novak, with next to no cap space?
I would... signing 40 year old players to their last contract is not something to be hyped about. Finding Willy, Kuz, Ndour, Baker, Randle, Plumlee, Jennings for peanuts... that's good gm'ing. Even Noah, Thomas and Lee's contacts are moveable (maybe one gets amnesty in the next cba).
Kuz looks like he just stepped out of an 80s new wave video. His game seems kind of 80s Euro too, which is a good thing. Fundamentally sound, team player. Have to see Kuz on the court more to get a better idea of his ceiling.
Kuz has a very good double threat game. Fakes the jumper and drives very well. Just a good wing to have off the bench. He seems to have some confidence now. No longer afraid to shoot or create a shot with a drive.

He was playing good d on Batuum and his d has been better than I thought it would be. He had a couple of big shots where it looked like they were going down. He is a good player and a great find.
