Why not just stick to the part about his monster season?
No where does he mention that it was more likely that once he did not re-up, the Thunder then trade him?
Any condition of a monster trade would likely include him resigning with his new team.
Thus, the likelihood of him gong to free agency after losing Durant, and going thru the season would have been unlikely.
Far be-it for Berman to stick a little reality into the article.
