Kaepernick wears a t-shirt with images of Castro meeting with Malcolm-X at a post game press conference in Miami.
Castro murdered over 75,000 Cubans in his quest to bring order to the small island.
Kaepernick is crusading to combat American "Opression". I admire his stance and defend his free speech.
Did his display crossed the boundry of good taste?

The "Like minds think a like" show scenes from when Malcolm met Castro in 1960. In that meeting at that time Castro was critical of America's imperialism and oppression to its minorities.
I won't argue that. Its an ugly part of our history.
But did Castro fulfil his promise of open elections? While he made strides in removing institutional racism in Cuba, has he not been alone?
He commenced maneuvering against liberals and democrats, breaking alliances and power sharing deals to solidify personal power and set Cuba on the path to Communist dictatorship.
Although Castro promised democratic elections, none were ever held. The free press was muzzled; judicial independence was lost.
With that perspective in hindsight, has Castro lived up to the hype of 1960? Castro embarrassed our country during his visit to NY. He moved his entourage out of a hotel to Harlem and became a very sympathetic figure to black americans. He harbored Assata Shakur who was guilty of murder of a NJ state trooper.
Is Kaepernick display in a city that celebrates Castro death insensitive to the awful oppression he delivered?
