Knicks · I would give Wilson Chandler a look (page 1)

I know he's always hurt but he's playing well and would be a nice fit. If nothing else it would be a big upgrade over Lance and Holiday. Risky but high reward IMO. He would really impress next to our more talented core.

Papabear Says

I was thinking the same thing.

Have him on my fantasy team so I have been following him for a few weeks. He has been putting up close to all-star numbers off the bench. He has been Denver's most consistent producer though. I don't think they move him unless they get blown away.
jrodmc @ 12/16/2016 12:11 PM
What the hell would this do to the whole "they raped us for Melo!" argument?
Anyway, I'd take the Mayor back; as long as it has nothing to do with any of our yoots or 1st round draft picks.

2nd rounder and a cup of coffee.

WaltLongmire @ 12/16/2016 12:14 PM
Have seen his numbers...he seems to be playing well, and we get to see him tomorrow.

Would want to seem him play an entire year without injury. If he plays like he has been playing and does not get injured, his contract is pretty good in today's market.

All about the injuries with Wilson. He and Gallinari have both been cursed by them.

I think if he did that we shouldnt trade for him (meaning the cost would be too high). Considering what guys like Crabbe and Evan Turner got Chandler has a cap friendly deal. Only way the cost is justified though IMO is if we can buy low. I think he'd be a great fit but at close to 30 and often injured Im looking for a bargain
Welpee @ 12/16/2016 12:57 PM
Beware of players putting up gaudy numbers on bad teams.

Plus I would rather develop Kuz. And why would Denver give him up and what would they want in return?

Knixkik @ 12/16/2016 1:08 PM
Denver will probably sell high on him. We won't trade anything of value. Let's find guys who haven't broken out yet. Diamond in the rough types, not 30 year old players having career years.

We have those. I am looking to win more games. Im not looking to be aggressive. WE have no reason to. But Holiday/Lance are nice role players if I could find a higher impact player I would. Chandler fits that bill IMO

We have Baker, Willy, Kuz, NDour... how many diamonds in the rough do you need?

I've wanted him back since we traded him. He can play 3 positions and defend all 3 well and has plenty of offense to.

Welpee @ 12/16/2016 2:33 PM
So folks were frightened by Rose, Jennings and Noah's injury history, but don't worry about Chandler's?

In New York homegrown peeps always have an advntage.

Vmart @ 12/16/2016 3:02 PM
I would like to add David Lee is he still in the league?
nyvector16 @ 12/16/2016 7:56 PM
Dream scenario would be us giving them Rose for Chandler and This year's 1st.
I am not convinced Rose is the answer long term and would rather get an asset back through trade.

I just think its better to figure out who on other teams might break out given a different situation, as opposed to going for a player who is in an ideal situation and because of it is having a career year. Buying high is never the best option. There's Wilson Chandlers out there who haven't been found yet.

That would fall under the heading of fairy tale.

Yeah, Wilson is definitely a candidate for being a "fluke year" player: http://forums.eog.com/showthread.php/335...
Marvin Williams was the perfect example of this last year: http://www.basketball-reference.com/play...

I heard Jimmer's burning up the Chinese league. Could we get him back on the cheap, if we agreed to take Marbles with him?
