why would the Knicks trade away a nice young big on a super contract for a player like curry

Because curry has a higher upside (in my opinion). Oquinn has value but not dallas. They have front court players and they're missing young guards that can shoot and stay healthy. I don't know why dallas would make that trade.

Curry is 26, about the same age as KOQ. Not sure his upside is higher than bench guard at this point. KOQ, for a good portion of this season, has played like a starter (not sure how long that lasts). But I think KOQ can bring back more than Seth Curry.

i dont know how to explain what im trying to say. thats my bad. curry has more explosive potential on the offensive end. oquinn is more of a versatile defender - but his ceiling as defender isnt as high. both are good players but the trade between nyk and dallas wouldnt make much sense (given each teams needs)

i highly doubt dallas trades curry after just signing him
