Come on man!
The 15-20 Magic, on the second night of a road and road back to back, missing their leading scorer and best shooter, have 47pts with 7min to go in the second quarter.
Their coach ripped them about their effort and they came out playing hard and fast. I don't think the Knicks have played as bad as the scoring makes it look. They have to stick with it and tighten up as the game goes on.
Elfrid Peyton just bagged a wide open three when I read your comment. He's a 25% shooter. But he was WIDE WIDE WIDE open. He thought about passing, but when he realized how WIDE open he was, he shot it and nailed a three.
The Knicks are a terrible defensive team.
I wasn't arguing that the Knicks are a good defensive team. Just that they weren't as bad at the start.
NOW they've started playing poor D!!!
So before when the Magic were getting wide open threes it was just hot shooting and now when they're getting open threes it's bad defense? That's confusing to me.
You saying there's no difference in the way those last few 3's looked with no defenders at all verses the early 3's?
Last time Knicks got a stop was last year.
Now Noah left Vucevic wide open do no reason!
LOL Breen is so pissed that he isn't allowed to give the trivia answers during the game anymore.

It's like they practice by reading a stat sheet.
OK guys judging from the stat sheet this is a terrible 3 pointing team so dont worry about that, protect the paint..
Rambis doesn't believe the three pointer is an efficient shot, so he doesn't care about it. he's the defensive coordinator.
Lance Thomas is a bum. Why is he getting all these mins?

The similarity is they all went in. Yes, they had to set a few more picks to get open earlier.
Magic have 19 assists and 1 turnover.

I'm hoping Kuz gets more minutes but he's gotta watch the bad fouls!
Lance just shoot two bricklayers from the baseline. Get him outta there!
On the bright side, if the Knicks D up on this last possession, they might be able to hold the Magic under 70 for the half.
LT is a bum!!!!! We vastly overpaid for him. Multi year deal ugh
Melo never jumped for rebound and it went out for a Meeks 3. There's your team leader and veteran.

Bad fouls? Oh I'm sorry are the rest of the Knicks playing any better D? They have 67 points and a total of 2 TOs
Noah is hurting this team on both ends. Why not play Willy and Plumlee? Aside from some tip ins Noah messes up a lot of plays that should be scores!

His movement or lacktherof is reminding me of that season where he needed the knee debridement. Melo usually gives effort on rebounds if he's feeling well.
To me - if Melo isn't jumping for rebounds, something is up. Not good with 17 games in the next 30 days.

I've seen some bricks in my lifetime, but those two he hoisted up there wide open on the baseline, were maybe the ugliest ones I've laid eyes on.

I'm saying he got taken out cuz of fouls. He needs to watch the touch fouls so he can stay on the floor.

He just looks old. 32 going on 45.
Pathetic defense.
Really bad.
I just can't understand why their effort is so bad on defense.
We need some changes. It starts with Melo. So long as Melo approaches the game how he does, which is offense first slow on defense the rest of the team will follow.
We may still pull this one out because Orlando is in a back to back and may cool off.
