Knicks · Time To Hide Melo At The 4 Spot (page 2)

Does anyone know the record of the team when Lee/Rose/Melo/KP/Noah all play? Just curious.

I know we lost 5 straight. Lee missed a few games. Then KP missed 2 straight. We haven't had the starters in that stretch. Before that Rose was in/out quite a bit. Just seems this teams starting 5 just can't get 20-25 healthy games together in a row to get their chemistry right. So far we've seen Noah come out of the gates really slow only now to pick it up. Rose had the back injury. Lee has missed 5. KP most recently the Achilles.

It seeems these guys play 5 games together then someone goes out for a few games. We really need a stretch of two months where the starting 5 stay healthy. This allows them to get on the same page. They just haven't played enough time together to deal with injuries and changes to the lineups.

I have thought about this but also I can clearly see how Melo has slowed down and started having Knee issues. I just think he needs a break from chasing 3's. KP I've seen has trouble with PF's that are Stretch 4's. KP wants to guard the paint and if we could play more small ball I think the D could improve once they built up chemistry. However I do agree that some of this is about not having enough time together from training camp thru to now.

Won/Loss from 82games.com:

Rose-Lee-Anthony-Porzingis-Noah: 8-13
That's after about 308 minutes on the floor together. Not sure how they figured the W/L out, but this 5 has the worst +/- of any squad we put out there (-25).

I'm sure it's all Melo's fault.

I think when all of Rose, Melo, and KP play we are pretty good. But when we are missing 1 of them, we are completely lost.
