After we blew the early lead and fell behind by 17, I'd be lying if I said I thought we had a snowball's chance of winning this game.

How great was the Knicks scouting. Baker, Kuz and Willy all look minimally like rotation players for the next 7-10 years.

Only if we build on it...We lose the next 5 in a row and this game is meaningless, unfortunately.

We played well against them the last game, though, so this would be "building" for me. They are a direct competitor for our playoff chances, and we are definitely competitive with them.

My wife stopped watching and said you always b@tch when I watch the game with you but cheer non stop when I leave. She came back though.

KP 24 points 9-14 shooting 3 blocks 6 rebounds 30 minutes
GA 25 points 9-21 shooting 5 blocks 2 steals 38 minutes

The greek freak is deserving of the hype, but as hyped as KP was last year, I think he's underrated this year becauae the Knicks have not been a great team. People may be equating the Knicks lack of wins with KP, but I tell you individually his impact is massive. He has his off games and he's not a superstar (top 5) player, but in the East, I would say KP is the best PF there right now. Love and him basically, but KP does more rim protection. Cleveland would trade Love for KP in a heartbeat. Get this kid on the all-star team he deserves it.

Oh and Melo, this is how you always need to play. Pass the ball. Don't hold it and do nothing but wait and take a contested tough shot. First look to move it. Read the defense. When we were overachieving at 22-22 last year, Melo was playing this way. Could it be that having Rose and Jennings has given Melo a sense he needs to just shoot and not be worried about passing?

I'd like us to learn some things from wins like these longterm. Guys like Noah for all his faults on offense, Lance Thomas, Ron Baker, Kyle O'Quinn and Courtney Lee, these are the sort of guys you want around KP and Melo. Phil has done great with figuring out some of these players. It's just too bad DRose has just not fit in. For whatever reason DRose came into this season with a shooting guard mindset. He has literally zero leadership or intangible qualities.

We'll be who we are until we get someone to do what Rose gets paid to do. However I'd love for Horny and Phil to just say F it and go with Baker and Jennings moving forward. Sell Rose for a pick. There has to be some teams out there who need a great driver who can score with ease off the bench. I'd suggest using Rose off the bench, but there's no way I see him accepting that role on a sub .500 team. Trade him to a contender, he would. So that's who you look to deal him to, to get some future assets.

GA has really worked on his shot, and that fall away midrange J is impossible to block. You get the feeling that he is being "groomed" by the NBA- he's already getting those star calls (though that play at the end when KOQ stopped him could have been called a foul)

We are 0-3 without KP. Winning record with him (17-16).

This is how we got to 22-22 last year. Melo playing point forward. Playing physical and hard on defense. Getting leadership and outside shooting from the PG spot.

I was saying it during the game thread but I simply feel that Horny and Phil need to cut their losses with the Rose/Jennings experiment. Get a vet PG that will shoot some 3s. Maybe keep Jennings because as erratic as he is at least he passes and looks like his heart is in it. But DRose man ... I'm dying for a DRose deal right now. Don't care if we go lottery I wanna see the team play the right way move the ball play hard physical defense. Rose is all flash and not enough substance. We need a leader at point.

You mean like Jose Calderone?

Dad Melo has been back for the past two games. Hopefully he sticks around for the rest of the season. Great night filling up the stats for a guy that Billups said only impacted the game by scoring.

Post game as well they talked about Melo's buckets and the Knicks D, but zero mention of the 10 assists that Melo had. Effin Posers.

Sucks that we play tomorrow while the Pacers last game was a blowout against the Nets on Thursday.

Melo and KP (due to injury return) will be in no conditin to carry the team. We're already what 0-7 on back to backs? Gonna get ugly unless this team somehow has new life and energy we have not yet seen.

Ye of little faith...

I was just on the Bucks forum and there were many posters who kept saying that Jabari Parker was frozen out of the offense in the 4th and that that is Kidd's fault. Food for thought...for what it's worth, I think we have a smarter coach.

Let's see if the Warriors Griz game's halftime show talks about Melo's 10 assists and overall play.

Horny's a really good coach. I just don't know if he has the right balance of talent right now. I think what he needs is more athletic shooters. Because to run and shoot as much as Horny likes to, you need guys with tons of fresh legs.

The only knock I'd put on Horny, dating back to Pheonix, I don't know how much of the defensive end he values. He may need help there. Rambis is not the right guy. Rambis may know some things, but Horny needs a really smart modern day defensive strategist. Talent wise I don't feel we have enough athleticism to really be able to benefit from the type of game Horny is trying to get them to play.

I always viewed Rambis is part Triangle tutor/part spy for Phil. I hope he's gone next year replaced by a true defensive specialist.

So did I. I went down to my recording studio and worked on a track.

Good comeback win that stopped the bleeding. A lot of guys stepped up like baker. Thank God KP is healthy
