I was thinking the same. IMO, we do such a terrible job in planning for the future that whwn the future arrives, we have no tools to capitalize on it. Little cap maneuvering trades could give us a ballast of second round picks to help facilitate draft day moves but we never do them. And with us having traded away all our 2nd round picks until 2021, we have no other 2nd round picks to play with.

But for the record, I wish we could have gotten a late first to get Josh Hart. At least we have the cap space to potentially scoop OG Anounby from the Raptors. Cap space for DeMarre Carroll amd Anounby might work.

Completely agree there. I will always be nervous about how Smith and Monk turn out, but i think Ntilikina has pretty good upside and should be a starting player sooner rather than later. Likely late year 1 or year 2.

I like the Knicks draft. I also really like what Sac did. If Giles can play they had a tremendous draft. Also, Minny did phenomenal getting Butler. Not sure how the Bulls did not get more.
