It's still early... we have about a month of games to get through before the all star break. If the Knicks can stabilize and start winning consistently again I say we stand pat....
If they keep losing, alot of these guys have got to go. Basically all of our top contacts from Melo to Lance. It absolutely doesn't matter who we get back. Espn talking heads keep saying we can't get equal value. That's all relative. Cap space, young or functional players and draft picks is the criteria.
I'm good with KP, Melo, Noah, and Rose starting.... I would replace Lee with Holiday and play him consistent 30 mins a game.
The top reserve now should be Willy. Noah is no longer a 30 mins guy. He's a 15 min or less guy. He can't score. He's Chris Dudley right now. Lee should be the first guard off the bench. Jennings #2. KOQ needs his run too along with Kuz according to how the game is going. We need to be physical we play KOQ more. Go small, Kuz.
We must move the ball. Melo needs to learn how to manage a game. Rose is supposed to do that but Melo wants to be the man so he needs to quarterback when it's a good time to get his. He can't do it every time down.
Hornacek must not be fired. Any changes should be to his coaching staff. Let him run this team
It's probably not surprising that I'm somewhat optimistic about the rest of this season. I just think we still have SO MUCH UPSIDE on this team. KP is going to get going again, which he's been slumping ever since the achilles injury. That's not a permanent situation IMO. KP is too talented to not eventually get his game back on track.
Willy has really started to get going and that is going to be a real boost for this team. When Willy plays well this team WINS. BJ has seemed to get back to his passing ways again and that is also a very important aspect for this team's success. When BJ is doing the PG thing right it makes our bench so much more potent and leads to wins.
We don't have to do anything outside of the roster in order to play better if these players get their act together. Kuz, Holiday and Baker can contribute off the bench. Really this team just need to buckle down and start taking a more determined approach to these games.
Jeff needs to keep moving in the direction of the younger guys for more minutes. We've seen that these guys can actually deliver when given a chance. Jeff has so much more he can do with the young guys cuz they're more dynamic and actually play the right way. TEAM BALL is much sharper with the young guys. So yes for now this team needs to come together and make a push over the next month.
free agency was a welcomed distraction... but I think Rose and Lee could fetch a decent return. If they go Melo might not want to stay. Cleveland has no back up point guard and LBJ is playing 87 minutes a game... Jennings might look real attractive. I think we could do quite well at the deadline.
The weird thing is I think the Knicks might win more games playing a lineup of: Randle :(, Baker, Kuz, KP, Willy
Add a first rounder that Phil might actually do well on next year and whatever first we pick up... but you only pick that stuff up if the payers are seen as "playing well" or "might benefit from a change in scenery", not after the wheels have fallen off and everyone knows you're gonna sell
not that I'm hoping for yet another rebuild... hopefully the team catches fire. but I haven't seen anything that would make me think that's going to happen

I'd trade Jennings for peanuts. Give the minutes to Baker.
Jennings is still a wildcard off the bench, ala last year's DWilliams cameo. If nothing else, let him continue to build some equity that might pay off better later than now. Especially if we can squeeze into the playoffs.

man jennings is so talented i just want consistent play from him. he needs to play like he did vs the pacers every single game. look to score more and then everything else opens up for him. willy and jennings are really playing well together. willy and KP should be playing more together they are our future starting front court.
I am ready for Noah to become the 71 million dollar Sasha at this point. Willy needs to play as does KO. Also, if the Knicks are serious about moving Melo and getting younger Plumlee needs to play.

Don't get your hopes up too much for a lot of minutes for Billy cause JH said that Bogut might not play and that when he doesn't the Mavs like to go small with 4 small guys so he would go small to be able to defend them. We will see but Billy is pretty mobile for his size so he should get minutes with or without Bogut playing.
Living in flyover country, I'm stuck with the Mavs TV broadcast and I'm very familiar with the suckitude of their commentators...sigh.
