Brutal month of January over
We are 21-29
40 wins gets you in the playoffs most likely
We need to go at least 19-13 rest of the way
This month is spaced out well
@ Brooklyn tonight
5 game home stand begins after 2 full days rest
Cleveland
Lakers (2nd worse team in league)
Clippers (Paul out)
Nuggets (Poor road team)
Spurs
@okc
8 day break
@cavs
2 games home stand to end month
76ers
Raptors
This month will tell us a lot. If we win over half our games this month we will still be in the playoff chase. If we have another sub .500 month it's over. To me this month has always been the most important one. If we win 6 or 7 of these games in the spaced out month I think we move up the standings considerably. This is sink or swim time.
I think what you are stating is pretty obvious... If we have a sub .5 month, the season is over. I would go as far as saying...its not even an "IF". The season is over...Now I've resigned myself to watching the games to see yoots development
Last year the team just couldn't recover once they dropped
Let's see if it's same with these vets
Afflalo, Calderon, Melo last year kinda resigned to the fact that they won't make the playoffs
Interesting to see if the vets this year - Melo, Lee, Rose, Jennings do the same.
Im ok with tanking or losing so much that our pick gets better. However I am interested to see the character of this team.
