Knicks · Dolan with cowardly, pathetic treatment of Oakley at the Knicks game. This is why we're cursed. (page 6)

That might be the case for a pissed off fan yelling rants to shut it up, but a player that gave his all, his sweat blood and tears. The venom is a bit different to say the least

I can't believe anyone would think it was alright to do what Oak did in front of children and families last night just because he played for this team many years ago. It's pretty sad to think any grown up would think that was okay.

I've already said this, we all love Oak and what he did for us but that was a long time ago and doesn't make him putting his hands on people in a very aggressive way alright.

Why should a celebrity/former Knick be held to a different standard? If anything, the standard should be higher, not lower.

Taking this situation out of context, maybe. When you consider that Oakley is beloved former player who has been treated this way by Dolan for 15+ years now... it is just a shame.

I'm not defending Oakley's actions last night. I don't know enough about what happened.

But I'm really sad it came to this point. And the reason it came to this point is 100% because Dolan is a petty little b!!!tch.

So you don't know enough about what happened but you do know it's 100% on Dolan....Hmmmmmmmmm

Oakley knows that he has NYers on his side and just needs to come across sounding like the victim. He has had a day to figure out how he wants to come across so he will sound believable and level-headed. Would be nice to hear a higher-up in the Knicks take this head-on and explain it from the MSG perspective, but we know that won't happen. Knicks will just sweep it under the rug and not address it, which adds to the dysfunction of the franchise.

I saw something that said they're reviewing all other cameras that were in the arena to see if they have any footage of anything that happened prior to what we all saw. If they have anything that has Oak saying anything directed towards where Dolan was sitting then you can bet your azz we'll be seeing it....lol

Yes, absolutely. Because he created the bad blood with Oakley for the past fifteen years.

Fuck Dolan.

Oak should be sitting courtside every game in a reclining massage chair, as swimsuit models bring him food and drinks.

Or he should be given the coaching job of his choice. Or make him the president. We could use a good one right now.

And Oak should have a restaurant in the Garden as well.

I like Charles Oakley.

NardDogNation @ 2/9/2017 6:38 PM
Is there a GoFundMe for Charles Oakley's impending legal fees? I'm as frugal as they come but it'd be an honor to chip in to help Charles out.

Did he create it?? The way i see it is Oak has been very critical of the Knicks for many years and has been very much vocal about it and has been very much vocal of J.Dolan himself so why should Dolan do anything for someone that's been so critical of him and his team?? I hope you can actually answer my question with a serious answer and not just dance around it.

We all hate Dolan and love Oak here but lets not throw all the blame on Dolan just because we don't like him when it's CLEARLY obvious that over the years both men have been doing things to the other.

All Oak did was speak the truth, like Marv, Jeff Van and others before him who got the same treatment. It is clear who the 'bad guy' here is.

I wish Oakley whooped Dolan's ass. I really do.

The knicks have been bad for like what the past 16 years (other than the anomaly w/ Woodson)? Exiling Marv, trading Ewing, Larry Brown, Isiah, getting too involved in Melo deal, getting too involved to not get Kyle Lowry. I'm sure others here could write a novel.

Was Oakley heckling him? I could give a flying F if he was. F this guy for this downward spiral of one of my favorite teams that has lasted nearly 2 decades.

Michael Kay was reporting on his show tonight that his sources claim Oak was drunk and cursing wildly... His sources cite those who spoke to NYPD and said Oak was a mess.

Then he spoke about the job offer extended to Oak a while back from Donnie Walsh- where a discussion took place and Oakley was supposed to follow up with Donnie regarding specifics and never did. No phone call, nadda.

markvmc @ 2/9/2017 10:39 PM
I dunno about that. Maybe, but he didn't look drunk to me in the videos that were posted.

If there's one person you can expect to be objective about Dolan, it's Michael Kay.

If Michael Kay had a spine he would have ditched the -re-qualified questions and asked that fat spoon fed pathetic loser why his franchise has been terrible ever since he assumed ownership. What's the worst that can happen? You lose media privileges at MSG? Sack up and call this man out for what he is.
