Melo and Rose suck at 3 and 1
Gotta have them at 4 and 2
Yeah I think that's crystal clear!!!
Anyone watching this game would tell you the huge difference in defensive intensity when Melo Rose came back in vs baker Holiday and the bench
Yet people still defend them

true but I don't think none of those denver points were on them

They did play with effort and the ball moved. That was thri first good game in awhile.
Personally, I thought the effort on defense in that game was pathetic as the Lakers had a couple of dozen uncontested layups/dunks.
Clippers not Lakers.
Understand the confusion. I was referring to the Laker game.

Watch how the breakdowns happen
Always start with perimeter guys losing their man

was Jokic on the perimeter

I just refer people to what I demonstrated in my thread about the Melo n Rose non defense.
Yes...I know we can't play any defense, but the ball movement is a thing of beauty to behold. F it: let's go for 140 tonight. lol
Kristaps needs to go to Jokic school of basketball
kyle oquinn is steady and under rated
That was a stupid Rose possession. He just fell asleep and left his man open from 3

Jokic usually benefits from someone driving by a Knicks player and then passing to Jokic close to the basket. He got a few plays on Willy in that Q
What's hurting us is Denver and most teams get easy open looks from the perimeter too easily. The breakdown of defense is so easy. If players took pride in staying with their man on and off the ball it would help a lot. You saw that when Holiday, Baker and Jennings played the 2nd Q.
Melo, Rose, Lee. They don't have the gas (or will) in their tank to play hard on D (stick with their man) and also go and run up play a high paced offense.

Jokic is a nice player but so is KP. LET KP BE KP! He's not Jokic and I think KP is not even close to what he is gonna be as he physically matures. KP has another few levels he can go IMO.

It won't matter
People have their minds made up
They think the entire team is bad defensively
Not the case.
A few players on this team have the ability to play D
To me it's about the gas tank
Horny has these guys sprinting up the floor.
To do that you need energy.
Doing that on O and then running back and playing hard D isn't easy for some of these "vets"
I really liked the defensive intensity of that KOQ/KP/Holiday/Baker/BJ lineup - some great two way ball there

Both players are great. Jokic is incredibly skilled. KP has way more upside though.

Well Baker feel asleep at the top of the key and let Nelosn walk into a 3. O'Quinn had poor help defense on Nelson when Melo actually had the coverage and opened up a passing lane for Nelon to pass it to Jokic for an easy two. Nelson had no where to go and was no where near a threat to attack the rim. Another possession O'Quinn and Lee play poor defense against Jokic which lead to an and 1.
I know and agree that Rose, Lee, and Melo suck on defense but I want just go for the low hanging fruit when their on the court. I like to blame the actual culprits. Even on offense some might blame them for the O slowing down when they were not the ones going iso. Willy and O'quinn did more iso and there were a lot of missed open shots while Denver made their run.

Why because he is 3 inches taller? That will help him with blocks but right now Jokic may actually be a better defender plus he rebounds like a real big.
