You are aware the Garden could be lying to protect their reputation here?
I'm guessing Oak will be suing them for libel.
And you do know that its possible Oakley was being belligerent... it is an odd situation but if you only believe Dolan had him removed because Oakley said something he didn't like then I feel sorry for you.
No one in the league believes the Knicks portrayal. Look around at the national coverage. Dolan played himself.
No one else buys this crap.
This is like a Spicer press conference about crowd sizes and y'all lapping it up. Try reading a report that didn't come out of the Garden. Knicks and particularly Dolan are a league wide joke. The head of the NBPA came out and called this report trash.

Hahaha wake up man. there's testimony from everyone that works from the front door to the elevators to the seating people to the security and they're all saying that Oak was acting angry or some type of way.
Yeah...clearly those people don't have a financial incentive in protecting their jobs. Dolan is a megolomaniac and once fired a security guard for not recognizing who he was and not immediately granting him access to MSG. What do you think he'd do if those employees provided a statement contrary from what he'd want them to say?

I am appalled and saddened there are people here who defend James Dolan.
Honest;y, man, it makes my blood boil. It makes me want to lash out at those people. I am restraining myself from going after people who have a blatant disregard for what damage James Dolan has done to our franchise in 17 years. 567-784 record as of 2/10/17.

I think some just have a different perspective and still hate Dolan but see the shades of gray. I think others- one in particular- supports anything and anyone with codified power, even if they claimed it through birthright. Personally, I think Dolan is a disgusting human being and it really shows in this instance.

p.s. can he ban noah next?
Marv!!!!!!!!!!
Oak is wrong as he needs to apologize to Dolan as its his place, his team and he's been spoken of as trash (we probably concur with this assessment yet we are not seeking to curry favor with Dolan, Oakley is). The apology should also extend to the league and the fans as it's disruptive to teveryome at the worst time - when the team is in free fall. Now Dolan too should apologize to the fans and to Oakley, his wife among others. This won't happen as Dolan doesn't possess that gene, his DNA is comprised of arrogance and a knack for screwing things up for this team for way too many years. I'm reminded of Robert Kraft, or the Mara family or so many great teams that happen to be owned by strong get out of the way Owners. Dolan hired Phil and paid him $12mm so he could get out of the way and he did, at least behind the scenes, for most of the season. Then this. Yes, Charles Oakley who I absolutely loved as a player, who played the game with all the grit and passion that isn't even in the big toe of this current team, made a mistake and has made mistake. Charlie's hurtnand shunned and unrecognized. But Dolan too missed an opportunity. Instead of calling him out, stripping Oakley in front of a TV audience, and 19 thousand Garden fans, he should have taken the high road, and not spoken of Charkie "needing to get help" or trampled to to the ground by 8 security guards no less. The same guy that was smack in the middle of his own imbroglio with Isaiah, and fought his own demons with substances, should know better than to kick a big man when he's hurting- particularkybwhen ge's had a few oops accrossbthe street and paid for his tickets. No one is right yet the same guy who fired Donnie Walsh and forced Carmelo here, and has ultimately been behind too many losing seasons-now takes center stage locally and nationally by berating a team hero. Way to go Dolan. You are and will be the heaviest burden this team carries as long as you own it.
When you are "Touch me and see what happens" kind of a guy with a history of this confrontation, then you need to safely extract him from a situation. Oak is not about being a fan, its about his beef with Dolan and he took it public and wants to be loved.
Its not like Oak is asking for help. He has his buinsesses a wife, and does good.
Might want to ask why is he a menace and why knicks don't want him around? Cuz of what happened!!!!!!
This is not about Dolan, this is about Oak looking for a confrontation and attention. What does Oak bring to a team? Advice? Look at all the people employed by the team, and they are not all that good, so what is he going to tell them? "Be confrontational, don't take crap, get tech's, flagerants and tossed out of games?"
Nalod Loved oak the player, and love that he helps people. But "Touch me and see what happens" not a welcoming trait. Have to consider all that goes into that moment BEFORE that has to be said. Its not like Oak is signing autographs, making balloon animals and being charming, then the goons come out to spoil the party. That is not logical. NO other Knick is treated like this. Even Marbury can go to game.

1. Why are you talking in third person.
2. Dolan considered Oakley persona non grata long before the other night due to Oakley's criticism of him and the team.
3. Multiple accounts state Oakley was sitting in his seat when he began to be harassed by MSG security who noticed he was at the arena and too close to Dolan.
4. Every single person who has commented on this situation and knows Oakley personally - even just random non-friends of his - have said that Oakley is one of the most honest and straight up individuals you will find. If he said something went down the way it did then it's likely what happened.
5. Oakley's actions against security doing their job is not excused. You cannot behave in that manner regardless of the circumstance.
6. Former Knicks are afraid to criticize the team in fear of permanent exile. Look at Marv Albert, Dave Checketts, Jeff Van Gundy, etc. They are not wanted by Dolan at or around MSG.
7. What does Oakley bring to the team? How about just respect a guy who played hard for 10 years here. Played with passion and effort every night and left it all out on the court for the fans.
8. The only account you are going by is James Dolan's account, which includes ALL statements from MSG employees who have not been allowed to be interviewed. No video footage from the hundreds of MSG cameras has been released by the Garden other than security harassing Oakley after the fact. I wonder why.
9. Charley Oakley means means much more to the Knicks than James L Dolan.
10. Your username may be some sort of slight on Dolan but you sure are defending him in yet another pathetic record on his resume as Knicks owner.
Dolan is way out of line.

Spot on. Oak was way out of line and this is only co-incidentally about Dolan - MSG policy kicks in with stuff like this - streakers, risky people, mentally disturbed, prone to violent confrontation, and so on. Makes sense.

Haha - this guy definitely works for MSG.
He's been in every thread vehemently defending Dolan.
