KP wants to get on same page with Rose but Rose is the problem.

Its like a captain obvious article. That's why they are losing. No revelation here, just like you said in the title

YUP! It's been clear as day since day one. I don't know why Rose has been so reluctant to look for KP! It's mind boggling really. The most obvious combo should be Rose to KP BUT as I've been saying all year where are all the Rose to KP highlights???

A good PG should help make the game easier for a talented big like KP. WTH have they been doing in practice all year if not working out how to play off each other? There should be MUCH better chemistry between them than we've seen this year. This is a TOP reason in my mind of why Rose has to GO!!! His refusal to foster any kind of on court chemistry with KP is near criminal.

Yep nothing we didn't already know- Hahn has been attacking Rose for weeks regarding the way he freezes out KP

I like where they said in the article that when Rose is driving to the basket his head is always down which is true. If he was even planning on or even thinking about passing he wouldn't be going to the hoop with his head down every time. When he does drive and feels the defense is there so he won't be able to make the layup he'll then look to pass but what he does is jumps in the air in hopes of finding someone to throw it to and a lot of times ends up throwing it to a player on the other team.

Many of us have pointed this out in the game threads...you see KP, or someone else, with daylight heading toward the basket, but no pass.

Rose will occasionally make the right pass, but it is frustrating to watch, and it makes guys less likely to move without the ball if they never get it when they DO move.

Probably why I can live with a Rubio trade. He'll never put up Rose's PPG numbers on offense, but he would really help KP, Willy, and even Anthony, get better shots, IMO.

This is why i was never a fan of the trade. He is great at going to the hoop but thats all. We need a true point guard who will help utilize KP and Melo(if he is here) at a lot Better than Rose could

Shane Battier covered this a few years ago in a candid interview. He mentioned that players wait until AFTER the buzzer to launch a long range 3 point shot ( i.e a half court shot) because over the course of a full season, that will impact your three point shooting percentage, and if you are valued for you three point shooting, then it will work against you. He pointed out even a very very small percentage of shots that go in help your team, but it does not help you at a contract level as an individual player, esp if you are in a contract year. As a career plus defender, he also mentioned how going for steals even at the cost of other four defenders on the floor and putting them in a bad position, was a form of individual stat padding.

There were some inferences in the interview regarding Kobe Bryant ( going for steals but otherwise being a lousy defender) and Kevin Love and Dennis Rodman ( i.e. rebound padding at the cost of team defense) He didn't so far as to just name names, but there were some general implications.

Rose is a FA at the end of the year. He's looking to get paid. He doesn't care if the Knicks or any other team wins or not. Padding his scoring stats is only going to help him in FA. Battier said even when agents argue the stats in context, that front offices still hold the raw numbers against the player in negotiations.

Rose simply will make more money as scoring punch than he would as a passer.

The Rose trade pretty much violated most informal trade standards that most battle hardened GMs' follow, i.e.

- Never trade big for small
- Never trade a positive asset for a negative asset
- Never assume a lose/lose position in any personnel move
